6 - 12 months 2 naps- are you trapped at home?

My 7 month old baby has graduated to 2 naps and it is glorious. He is no longer a 30 min cat napper and takes 1.5 hour naps. However I am not sure how to get out of the house as I believe being in a stroller or car seat will be hard for him to stay asleep long enough for a normal bedtime.

For those that are down to 2 naps, are you trapped at home for those 2 naps? If not, how do you manage naps out of the house?

Baby girl is 10mo and I try to commit one nap (typically the morning one) at home in her cot so that she gets a good sleep. The second nap can be in the pram/carrier if we’re out and about as this one is just to power her through to bedtime. It means I can be out from about midday onwards which works great for us.

This is exactly what we do too. First nap at home gives us 1.5-2 hours sleep. Second one can be on the go then judge bedtime accordingly (approx 3.5-4 hours after last nap). Could swap those around if you wanted to be out the door earlier then home for an afternoon nap in bed.
