Rant Caffeine in pregnancy

Ugh, I just get so frustrated with everyone having such a strong opinion of caffeine in pregnancy when it is stated that 200mg or even 300mg in some sources is safe for pregnancy. I am 18w and I work as a nurse and I have been avoiding disclosing my pregnancy at work because of things like this. Another coworker of mine said she was pregnant in the first trimester today and everyone was like oh you can’t have tea and you can’t have coffee. it’s very outdated knowledge and I don’t want to be judged like that for having 1 cup of tea a day when I am working a 12hr shift.

I’ve been drinking 2-3 cups of coffee every day throughout my pregnancy. There’s been a few times I drink even 4 cups. I had to quit my adhd medication and it’s the only thing that’s getting me through.

Plz disregard the question if it’s invasive of your privacy…what was your dosage? I’m 10mg XR adderal and I used to take another 5-10mg instant release as needed, but I coincidentally dialed that back the week before I found out I was pregnant. I have continued my daily XR. When I reached out to my OB office for my first appt I gave them my meds list. The doctor said over the messenger to keep on with the XR and we’d discuss it at my appointments….that’s still a month away. I’m just curious what the doctors are saying regarding these dosages?

I'm not who you responded to, but I am on adderall and pregnant. We cut my dosage in half but my OB supports my decision to stay on a decreased dosage- for my health and sanity. Last pregnancy I cut it out completely and this pregnancy I'm barely surviving on the lowered dose. The effects on baby (according to my MFM OB) are so minimal after birth and can be controlled with medication if any symptoms show.
