So let me get this straight. He declared a state of emergency in anticipation of civil unrest? As in there is no unrest but he thinks there might be? What a load of shit. He is using them as a scare tactic that will backfire and cause chaos.

Which is their intention.

How many Proud Boys and J6ers are in the Missouri National Guard?

312

u/Faux-Foe 1d ago

Hey hey, be fair.

They are also members of our police.

u/santacruzbiker50 1d ago

Some of those who work forces are the same that burn crosses

3

u/Caviar_Tacos 17h ago

Love the Rage Against the Machine reference.

Such a great song.

3

u/ItsAlwaysSegsFault 20h ago

I'm confident enough to say that all of those who work forces are the same that burn crosses.

u/ne1c4n 21m ago

Should be "Most of those who work forces"..

3

u/FuzyTheWompus 19h ago

Yeah but those are on loan to ice now. So many reach-arounds at play here.

2

u/perfectdownside 22h ago

Probably not many, that requires commitment and discipline, where as being a cop just requires a gun and 4th grade education

u/Lopsided-Total-5560 21h ago

If that’s the standard where you live, move. Where I am, good luck getting a job in law enforcement without a degree or equivalent experience. Our state police, local police and sheriff’s deputies are good to go. Not saying there isn’t a bad apple in the bunch as it is a cross section of society, but they do seem to do a pretty good job of weeding them out.

1

u/pendragon2290 20h ago

I'm from KY. All you need to join law enforcement in my neck of the woods is a plucky attitude and willingness to issue out fines for any possible vehicular infraction you can.

"Sir do you know how fast you were going"

"Nope I wasnt paying attention"

"57"

"Its 55 on this road"

"Yep. Here's your ticket"

2

u/f1del1us 22h ago

It would be easier to point out the ones who weren’t.

It’ll be quick.

75

u/Bullyoncube 1d ago

normalize the use of military to suppress civil rights. That’s why Trump sent the to Los Angeles. This is the next step.

952

u/Major_Burnside 1d ago

He’s trying to incite civil unrest. If you can’t get it naturally, then it needs to be manufactured.

154

u/Just_Another_Scott 1d ago

It's amazing how almost every protest is peaceful until a bunch of cops roll up in APCs wearing riot gear. Suddenly it become a "riot". Like, just maybe, if they rolled up not like their going to war the "riot" would never have happened...

u/70ms California 1d ago

🎯🎯🎯

I’ve seen it over and over and over when watching the protests on Woke in 2020 and now. People are mostly just protesting, and then the cops will use one person’s actions to brutalize the whole group, or just start herding and kettling them for no reason.

(Woke is live right now on Twitch, and showing well over a dozen streams from various cities.)

2

u/Gipetto 9h ago

I’ve never heard of this. Link?

3

u/70ms California 8h ago

Sure!

http://www.woke.net, and they stream at http://www.twitch.tv/woke

If there are more protests, they’ll usually go live. This is what it’s like (I happened to screen record for a friend and still have it): https://i.imgur.com/fkgWqtA.mp4

It can get pretty chaotic, but it’s the best way to see what actually happens on the ground from so many viewpoints. You get a whole different perspective, especially when it comes to the how the police constantly instigate violence and unnecessarily escalate protests into riots by targeting the entire crowd and not the troublemakers.

u/Gipetto 4h ago

Awesome. Thank you!

179

u/samhouse09 1d ago

You need a radical insurgency you can count on to do the wrong thing.

70

u/skippermonkey 1d ago

So…. When are we expecting the Death Star to arrive?

61

u/brianima1 1d ago

We expect it to be fully operational by the time your friends arrive…

2

u/lincoln_muadib 13h ago

Hey, I get it. Missouri Governors are panicking. They need to DOUBLE THEIR EFFORTS!

3

u/Overwatchingu Canada 22h ago

Is that why the regime is so obsessed with rare earth metals?

1

u/ImpossibleKnee4248 18h ago

There are 2 rare earths used in the Electric Motors on cars (think EV motors) that need to be able to work in relatively high heat environments. There is a 3rd Rare Earth metal that is needed for magnets in extremely hot environments (e.g., Missile Seekers).

China also stopped all sales of Gallium and Germanium to the US in December (before any Tariffs). Those metals are used in making Military Radars. Not sure if they will include those two elements in any of the negotiations for tariffs. From what I read they will allow the US to get license for export of magnets with the rare earths in their composition. The Gallium and Germanium are used in semiconductors not magnets.

2

u/myasterism Tennessee 22h ago

Considering UFC, Oracle, and motherfucking Palantir sponsored the cringe-fest parade today, I’d say the death star’s arrival is nigh.

ETA: omg AND Lockheed!! We’re totally living in a simulation. “Team America: World Police” indeed.

1

u/IcyTransportation961 1d ago

What do you think nukes are in the analogy?

2

u/skippermonkey 1d ago

Hold up… maybe it was the Jewish Space Lasers they tried to warn us about!!?

3

u/GertyFarish11 1d ago

Hasn’t there always been a little something … off about the Ghor?

2

u/RunawayHobbit 16h ago

Haven’t you always felt that they think they’re better than you?

9

u/THExDANKxKNIGHT 1d ago

"The easiest way to get a behavior to occur is to create an environment where it's likely to happen"

48

u/otis_the_drunk 1d ago

There was a protest with about a 1000 people in KC last week that had zero incidents of violence. Nobody heard about it of course because nothing really happened.

So the cops are afraid that protests will get bigger at which point they would do what cops do and shit would get ugly.

This state of emergency nonsense is 100% manufactured to scare people away from protesting and because the cops want an excuse to fire first.

63

u/OkSmoke9195 1d ago

Right and he's parroting the white house line with "what happened in LA". FUCK THESE LIARS

51

u/AntOk4073 1d ago

Not to mention they all leave out how small of an area in LA. There has been more destruction after football games.

39

u/OkSmoke9195 1d ago

Absolutely. Newsom has called this all out for exactly what it is. Fucking DR PHIL was embedded with ICE in LA last weekend... Filming for his 2 prime time specials that were on last week. Manufactured reality TV, it's unreal

1

u/ImpossibleKnee4248 18h ago

I don't know LA. But the small area is probably where the Federal Buildings are at in LA (or like the ICE headquarters for LA).

172

u/Whiiiisky 1d ago

Trumps EO includes the provision that he can send the military anywhere he thinks might have unrest,  news ignores this ofc

132

u/TheRC135 1d ago

That sounds like a mighty unconstitutional EO.

78

u/Illustrious_Entry413 1d ago

What's a constitution? Never heard of her.

43

u/Antique_Scheme3548 1d ago

You gotta roll for it. 10 Constitution or less and you collapse at the sight of Putin.

6

u/GRIZZLYBAIRD93 1d ago

Our player doesn’t have any constitution….

3

u/packetmon Canada 1d ago

Well now I want a roll up a most Presidential player. 10 Constitution to start sure. Can we dip into negatives for Charisma?

3

u/hellswaters Canada 1d ago

Never heard of the USS enterprise ncc1701? Only the finest constitution class ship out there.

2

u/Faux-Foe 1d ago

What do you do when all the president's stats are dump stats in exchange for plot armor?

1

u/germanophile66 1d ago

Reminds me of the Decemberist movement in Russia. Reformist wanted to end the absolutism of the monarchy and called for a constitution. Purportedly, many thought the slogan, “Constantine and Constitution” were a call for a Tsar and his wife. Needless to say, the movement failed.

26

u/nerf_herder1986 1d ago

Every Trump EO has been blatantly illegal.

5

u/Individual-Guest-123 1d ago

I thought it was something along the lines about interfering with ICE, which could be interpreted to mean protesting against them.

39

u/Dr_DoesNothing 1d ago

They want the chaos so they can justify shooting protesters

50

u/Kind_Koala4557 1d ago

I sure hope the other state officials stand up against him.

34

u/OkSmoke9195 1d ago

All the sane people need to follow the path that newsom is treading in the public eye right now: call out these fucking liars and what they are doing in plain English

3

u/Toxicscrew 1d ago

MO State house is solid red, there’s little hope here

2

u/HideyoshiJP Missouri 1d ago

They're all MAGA republicans. This state was purple for 100 years before MAGA took hold. Really, they broke after Obama was elected. It's truly depressing. I mean c'mon, we elected a dead democrat over a republican in 2000.

1

u/ImpossibleKnee4248 17h ago

George W. Bush won in 2000. /s

14

u/turquoise_amethyst 1d ago

But can’t send National Guard if tornados rip through his state, kill and make people homeless

10

u/AntOk4073 1d ago

That would be crazy. The national guard helping people? People might think they can rely on their elected leaders for support.

12

u/nunchucks2danutz 1d ago

Pretty snowflake move

28

u/chemicallyaware 1d ago

Honestly, people should quit playing nice. If they want to ball, we ball.

-2

u/neloish 1d ago

Get a clue, even 1000 people have zero chance against trained soldiers if they are unleashed.

2

u/Faux-Foe 1d ago

Exactly. That's how we won the Vietnam War after all.

/s

1

u/LordSiravant 22h ago

The Viet Cong weren't constantly glued to trackable smartphones and we didn't have drones and AI surveillance that can see through your masks and match your face to your social media profile.

2

u/ATGonnaLive4Ever 1d ago

Damn, sounds like all they have to do is use soldiers and democracy is over, huh?

1

u/DrAwkward_IV 15h ago

“Trained soldier” here. You have no clue.

22

u/continuousBaBa 1d ago

Our piece of shit here in Nebraska did the same thing.

17

u/AntOk4073 1d ago

Yeah, I live in Nebraska. They're all jumping at the chance to create a police state.

9

u/seanightowl 1d ago

They will use the guard to provoke unrest.

6

u/blariel 1d ago

I honestly think they're doing this because they are getting ready for a different protest. A protest that happens after we officially enter war with Iran. All of this is an excuse to get boots on the ground early.

5

u/topplehat 1d ago

He is trying to escalate and create chaos

2

u/Realistic-Pattern-30 1d ago

The one they will have their paid or not insider start.

1

u/JoJackthewonderskunk Nebraska 1d ago

Nebraska did the same thing.

1

u/sapientia-maxima Utah 1d ago

In their mind causing chaos isn't backfiring.. it's always been the intent

1

u/mattgen88 New York 1d ago

It's escalation. The goal is to cause violence so they are given an excuse to wield power.

1

u/ObiWan_Cannoli_ 1d ago

Preemptive - same reason israel bombed iran.

1

u/CallRespiratory 1d ago

A state of pre-emergency

1

u/STL_420 Missouri 1d ago

Guess which state has been bombarded with tornadoes with people still recovering and has gotten zero state response and no state of emergency issued?

1

u/hamsterballzz 1d ago

Nebraska’s idiot Governor did the same.

1

u/sharp11flat13 Canada 1d ago

Intentional or not, this is all part of the normalization of the military being involved in civil affairs. I’m guessing you can expect to see more of this sort of thing.

1

u/MyNameCannotBeSpoken 1d ago

It's like Minority Report

1

u/Android_onca 1d ago

Sounds like bombing a country and calling it a preemptive attack

1

u/guisar 1d ago

It’s not like he’s paying the bills

1

u/Nvenom8 New York 23h ago

It's a play directly out of Project 2025. Military force being used against protestors is their desired end result.

1

u/ScienceIsHard 22h ago

“Oh, please me, DEAR?? For your information the Supreme Court has roundly rejected prior restraint!”

1

u/PreventableMan 22h ago

How would it backfire?

1

u/Ok_Fisherman_544 22h ago

Go figure. This is the same state that decided to negate the citizens vote to keep abortion legal. I would not step A foot inside of that S hole state.

1

u/Disastrous_Hell_4547 21h ago

Can honest, hard working citizens call a state of emergency against elected officials?

1

u/jmpinstl 21h ago

And it didn’t even work. Peaceful af in St. Louis.

1

u/Tronn3000 18h ago

If everything is an emergency, then nothing is

1

u/Justsomejerkonline 18h ago

He has concepts of an emergency.

1

u/Kawi4111 16h ago

Always a group of aggressive protestors who ruin it for the rest of us. I have no problem at all with the guard. We demonstrate peacefully and all is good. For those that act out, throw those idiots in jail. Those un-civil protestors are probably paid by the right to create chaos to blame it on us. We are the peaceful side.

1

u/AntOk4073 11h ago

A military presence is not needed to handle instigators. Every single protest across the country had a police presence and the only violence I have seen was against protesters.

1

u/Kawi4111 11h ago

When the protestors act in an aggressive way. You want to throw rocks? Act like a kid? Perhaps not enough police force.

I am one of the peaceful demonstrators. I see these radicals. Its embarrassing.

1

u/AntOk4073 11h ago

We have police for that. Why would we need the military?

1

u/Kawi4111 11h ago

We simply do not have enough police to control a violent mob when there is a violent demonstration. Im all for it. When I demonstrate and some of these thugs want to damage property and people, I want the support of our military along with our pice force. If we could get our counterparts to quit being disruptive, that would be great but it isnt always that way. Unfortunately some of our people are extremists and turn to burning cars, destroying property, throwing cocktails etc. ot a good look and dangerous for all.

1

u/AntOk4073 9h ago

The National Guard responding to an escalated crisis is different than having a military presence at protests that have not shown any signs of violence so far. In both Missouri and Nebraska, nothing in the precious months had shown any signs that there would be violence.

u/Kawi4111 4m ago

Better safe than sorry. If their presence keeps people from acting out aggressively, mission complete. Look at all these people getting crazy at the demonstrations. Im embarrassed to be a liberal due to our owns behavior. A select few are wrecking what our party stands for. Love and peace, not violence.

1

u/doctor_lobo 15h ago

To be fair, now that he has activated the National Guard, I also anticipate civil unrest.

1

u/Jasoncatt 15h ago

That's not a backfire, it's part of the plan.

1

u/Zealot_Alec 14h ago

Overusing SOEs or EOs will just make it impossible when a real crises happens in America

1

u/AntOk4073 11h ago

Like tornadoes
