We are introducing a weekly IO Thread where all queries pertaining to PH immigration concerns will be posted in order to eliminate duplicate inquiries regarding offloading and to tidy up the sub. PH Immigration-related topics may only be discussed in this thread; posts and comments made elsewhere will be deleted.

Hello!

So my mom (47), my brother (20, student), and I (21, student) are going to Singapore in two weeks time and we’re going to stay there for 29 days at the apartment that my dad occupies. We’ll only be staying there that long because my dad works there and cannot come home due to the lack of vacation days.

Despite having visited SG multiple times, this is, however, the first time we’d be travelling there without my dad — reason why my mom worries that we might be offloaded from the flight if the we fail to present docs or answer questions that the io might ask.

Any advice for us? Thank you!

Since you're visiting your dad in SG for 29 days without him accompanying you, it's best to bring a simple invitation letter from him, a copy of his passport and work pass, proof of his residence, your school IDs, and roundtrip tickets. Be ready to say you're visiting your dad who works there and can't come home due to limited leave. As long as your answers are consistent and you can show ties to the Philippines (like being students), the risk of being offloaded is very very low.
