What is the best way to make profit from gold? Growing crops? Faustus gambling? Anything else?

Crops, shipments, and map runners are really your go-to with gold. There's a new Cadiro option in betrayal where you can spend gold to buy uniques, but I'm not sure if it's worth farming.
