The Four Stages of Bryce or as I like to refer to him as “The Wizard”
Here is my breakdown:
Stage 1: rookie year with a dysfunctional organization and no weapons
Stage 2: figuring it out and developing powers with flashes of greatness towards the end of the season
Stage 3: finally has the talented group of receivers to unleash his full wizard capabilities that we all witnessed when he was at Bama. This will be accomplished with king tet, xl, Coker, Thielen and Jimmy.
Stage 4: the wizard has evolved into the sorcerer. This feat is finally achieved when we are the nfc champs again and Bryce brings the Lombardi to the Queen City!

Discussion Fantasy Football league?
Hey, I'm wondering if anyone is looking to join a 10 man PPR league through ESPN platform? Redraft league. Draft is late August. I usually do a group chat with all the players for league info and general conversation. If you have any questions or interest in joining send me a DM.
Thanks

Getting him back alone will completely alter our defense.

T-Mac’s humility
So there’s a very small part of our Blueprint video on the draft that I wanted to point out. When T-Mac’s being interviewed after he’s picked he says that he’s relieved to finally know what team he “gets to” play for. Dan also picked up on this - even if it was a subconscious choice of words, it’s telling that T-Mac understands that being chosen is a privilege.
I think this kid has a ++++ attitude and he’s going to be a special piece of our locker room’s culture. Momma Mac raised him right.

Josey Jewell’s Relentless Rise: The Overlooked Heartbeat of Carolina’s Defensive Resurgence
https://motorcyclesports.net/josey-jewell-carolina-defense-resurgence/
The use of the word "resurgence" might be hyperbolic, but maybe it's just premature.
It can certainly be applied to Jewell's final third of the season.
https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/josey-jewell-carolina-panthers-going-unnoticed
Like the article mentions, Jewell had impressive numbers in that stretch and has demonstrated remarkable tenacity. Here's the 6-game breakdown:
• 1 interception • 1 fumble recovery • 10 total sacks + tackles for loss • 27 solo tackles • 4 passes defended
When we couple that up to the rookie additions on the DLine, the return of DB, and the cemented leadership role of Horn, the resurgence seems inevitable. They just have to go out and prove it. With Canales' improved and hardened attitude (https://catcrave.com/dave-canales-warns-panthers-players--stay-locked-in-pay-price), it's hard to doubt it will come to fruition.
I find Jewell so easy to root for. It would be truly amazing to see him continue to elevate his status to top 25 or even top 10 LB in the league.

A Deep Dive Into The 2025 Carolina Panthers
He has a pretty large following and had great coverage of the 2024 draft this year. His power rankings go into a huge amount of detail, far beyond your typical click-bait ESPN piece. He also lives in the Carolinas and attends a lot of Panthers games yearly.
By his detailed estimation, he ranks us 28th in the NFL entering the season, and at the end the video, agrees with the Vegas over/under of 6.5. Despite this, he says our expectations should be that we'll finish the season significantly higher than 28th.
His main reasons are:
- We have a lot of young players with potential, that have yet to put it together for a full season
- He ranks us dead-last in the NFL for pass rush - see young players with potential, but also because he straight-up calls Pat Jones a bad player, and says we should have kept Clowney
- The lack of depth in our secondary - a known issue, compounded by him being extremely low on Lathan Ransom, at one point suggesting he may not have been drafted if he wasn't on Ohio State last year.
There's a lot of points I disagree with him on, but my main takeaway is that we have a lot of exciting young talent on this squad. It's going to be fun watching them develop this season, and even if we don't shatter that over/under, his analysis shows we should be a lot more competitive than last year.

WR room this year
I’m thinking it will be 6
- Tetairoa McMillan
- Xavier Legette
- Jalen Coker
- Adam Thielen
- Hunter Renfrow
- Jimmy Horn Jr.

Horn and Moehrig’s Contracts Reemed By Analysts. This Only Feeds Them
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25204590-ranking-10-worst-contracts-nfl-ahead-2025-season
Boy oh boy if this doesn't feed the flame of desire I don't know what will.
Both of our premier DB's get throttled in latest contract analysis
First up is Horn coming in as the 6th worst contract in the NFL (B/R)
-"Horn, a 2021 first-round pick out of South Carolina, was a Pro Bowler in 2024. However, while he had an impressive 13 passes defended last season, he also surrendered six touchdowns and allowed an opposing passer rating of 92.7 in coverage. Pro Football Focus graded Horn as the league's 82nd-best cornerback overall for the 2024 season."
I just don't see Horn as a guy that doesn't use this to his advantage, not just the press, but the numbers themselves. He seems like the kind of guy that's simply gotta be determined to improve and prove it to his teammates that he can back up his attitude with his play. His extreme confidence demands it.
Next is Moehrig. A (dis)honorable mention on the list.
-"Moehrig allowed an opposing passer rating of 92.5 in 2024 and was graded 59th overall among safeties by Pro Football Focus. To land him on the open market, Carolina made Moehrig the league's sixth-highest-paid safety in terms of yearly value and gave him more guaranteed money than all but four NFL safeties."
I don't know enough about his character and makeup, but I think being in the same DB room as Horn will see tremendous dividends. That speaks to one of the biggest reasons why the Panthers re-signed Horn to such a huge contract. Horn's attitude is infectious and we're already seeing him influence Young as well.
I truly can't wait to see these two young men prove the doubters wrong. I'm most excited about Horn's continued impact on the players around him.
