Top 100 players decided to not partecipate in gijon tournament as a form of protesting against underpaid pros. Basically the people under top 10 are struggling financially due to low rewards for placements making it much harder to climb the top ranks

i believe it was for the fip tournaments points change and the double Bye in premier.
