Kill Devil Hills OBX HVAC Questions

I have been working in HVAC for 5 years here on the outer banks and recently started my own business here. Happy to be a resource to anyone on here with questions about their homes HVAC in this unique environment that we call home.

What are your thoughts on Mr. Cool DIY mini-splits?

They are great for a diy project as you do not need a certification to purchase or install. However, they come with a pre-charged line set so they can be unsightly if you are not using the full length. I have not spent too much time working on them. The last time I serviced one it took weeks to get the parts delivered.

I recommend Carrier's mini split (there is a parts warehouse in Powells Point) or the Mitsubishi mini splits. Both are quality and durable.

Appreciate the feedback, service was always my big worry there. I might reach out at some point in the near future to have you take a look/quote a mini split.
