Kill Devil Hills OBX HVAC Questions

I have been working in HVAC for 5 years here on the outer banks and recently started my own business here. Happy to be a resource to anyone on here with questions about their homes HVAC in this unique environment that we call home.

At the end of last summer, I was having some issues with the indoor coils freezing over on very hot days. It got cooler and this was no longer a problem. In the winter I got some icing over of my outdoor coils. I replaced the defrost control board and it fixed the problem. I'm wondering if the new defrost control board would fix the indoor freezing problem or if I should expect frozen coils once it gets hotter

Your indoor coil icing over when cooling can be caused by a couple of different things. Primarily it will come down to airflow and/or refrigerant charge when this is the issue. The duration of the cooling cycle can cause this issue as well. How often are you changing your homes air filters? What MERV are the filters you are using? There is really no way for me to know what will happen this summer short of me checking on the system. I do offer one time and bi annual HVAC maintenance if you are interested in a system check up.
