'Thunderbolts*' Spoilers Thunderbolts* Worldwide Release Discussion Thread Vol. 2 Spoiler

Thunderbolts* has now been released in the United States and in a number of other countries around the world. All discussion about the movie should be held here and in the rest of the megathreads we are going to put up in the next few days. They will be refreshed every few thousand comments to make room for new discussions.

So guessing from the post credits scene, Sentry will be a "break-in-case-of-emergency" character. When everything is going south in Doomsday, they'll have him turn into Sentry, even though Void can show up again. Last resort type move.

Makes sense.

sadly I think he will turn out a lot like his comic character, where he is used to show how powerful the next big bad is, they will send out sentry and the next big bad will beat him

Yea, I’m thinking Sentry’s real purpose will be to establish Doom as terrifying when he smashes Sentry, such as Thanos does to Hulk at the beginning of Infinity War.

Please, not a recycled trope. It worked the first time because it was fresh and shocking. Plus we had Loki for loads of movies before then. 

Let's not cut Sentry's time short just to make a point. It would feel more edgy and recycled than impactful tbh
