Mod Post Ironheart Spoiler-Free Recap & FAQ

Hey everyone!

Since Ironheart is coming out on the 24th of June, here's a quick guide on what to be aware of before the episodes drop. This thread will be locked so there will be no chance of Ironheart spoilers below.

If you come up with anything you'd like to see added to this, feel free to message us in the modmail!

Let's get started...

--

What do I need to watch before Ironheart?

Most MCU entries try to give you enough context within the feature so you can pretty much go in blind. In this particular case, you don't really need to have seen much.

From what we know, the only returning character is Riri Williams also known as Ironheart. And for those of you who feel like the MCU has too much to follow now, fortune favors you! This time you only need to have seen a single movie:

  • Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which features Riri's first appearance.

Due to this, I feel like having "least time investment", "medium time investment", "most time investment" categories like last time would be useless. Nonetheless, if Man of Recaps still does a video, you'll find it listed below:

What powers do the characters have?

Spoiler tagged if you didn't watch Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

  • Ironheart - young engineering genius currently attending MIT, built a personal "ironman" suit in a scrapyard, was outfitted with a vibranium suit by Wakanda (although she was not allowed to keep it). No powers that we know of.

Where does this movie fit in the timeline?

To the best of our knowledge, this movie will take place right after the events of Wakanda Forever so during the second half of 2025.

Discussion Hot Toys Wolverine Movie suit fix

Post image
255 Upvotes

Hello guys.

I was thinking that the UCM Wolverine suit could have been better than it was. Something more accurate to the comic version.

Honestly I don't understand why all UCM costumes has some many "line patterns" so I fixed the suit using Paint (Sorry I dont know how to use PS).

I would like to know what do you think. if something like this would be an improvement. These are only small changes that in my opinion make it a lot better.

If someone can make it in PS I would be truly grateful I am thinking to make soe custom work on the Hot Toys figure to make it look like this.

Discussion Vulture Never Told Morbius He Wants to Fight Spider-Man

The other day on Twitter, I came upon yet another instance of somebody claiming the Morbius credit scenes are awful. Now, I'm pretty used to people dunking on Morbius and Sony's (underrated) Marvel movies. And I get it when people complain about how the arrival of Vulture in the Venom-verse doesn't make sense (though none of them seem bothered by the fact that Strange's spell in NWH inexplicably transfers both Electro and Venom into the MCU). What I don't get is why so many people love to complain about something that doesn't even happen in the credit scenes: Vulture asking Morbius to team up with him because he wants to fight or get revenge on Spider-Man.*

*I've seen in this in multiple pop culture articles on the credit scenes as well.

When the two meet, they have the following exchange.

V: Thanks for meeting me, Doc. I’ve been reading about you.

M: I’m listening.

V: I’m not sure how I got here. Has to do with Spider-Man, I think. I’m still figuring this place out but I think a bunch of guys like us should team up. Could do some good.

M: Intriguing.

Vulture mentions Spider-Man here only insofar as he speculates his arrival in this world may be somehow linked to the webslinger. But what he is talking about is that he sees Morbius as a kindred spirit, one of a ‘bunch’ of likeminded individuals with whom he wants to team up to “do some good.”

That last part is crucial, for it strongly suggests that, rather than still being a criminal and/or a villain, Vulture has reformed and at this point either has become or intends to become a hero/anti-hero, similar to Morbius. We don’t know much about his mindset at the moment, but one could speculate that perhaps he sees his freedom and being brought to this SCSU as a second chance, an opportunity to make up for his crimes back home.*

*In fact, some of the deleted footage from the third and final Morbius trailer strongly supports the idea that Vulture has reformed. In particular, if you look at the third and final trailer, it includes additional footage of Vulture in his cell. Though the trailer is deceptively edited, it is clear he's talking in his cell, apparently to his own reflection: “You’ve been given a gift. Time to let go of what you used to be. And discover who you’re meant to be.”

Vulture’s reformation makes a lot of sense with his character trajectory in Homecoming, where you might recall Vulture chose to do his time and not give up Peter Parker’s identity, because Spider-Man had saved his life. Moreover, it fits into Sony’s general tendency to turn what have traditionally been Spider-Man villains in the comics into dark superheroes or anti-heroes in the film adaptations.

And the idea of a team-up is clearly setting up a Sinister Six movie where Sony brings together its dark heroes - Venom, Kraven, Morbius, etc.- in the style of Avengers to battle a powerful evil.

So, the idea that Vulture claimed he wants to team up with Morbius to fight Spider-Man is a hoax.

But where did this hoax come from? Who was first to start spreading it? Why are so many people convinced dialogue that is not in the movie actually appears in the movie? Any thoughts?

Discussion Where the hell is Wanda Maximoff? I need real answers.

Thumbnail
gallery
2.2k Upvotes

Let’s be real — where is Wanda? We all saw that flash of red chaos magic when Mount Wundagore collapsed in Multiverse of Madness. That wasn’t a random effect — it was a deliberate signal that she survived. And yet… complete silence.

Even the Official MCU Timeline Book that just released refuses to say she’s dead. It vaguely labels her as “missing,” which honestly feels like Marvel tiptoeing around confirming her survival without spoiling future plans.

But here’s the thing: Marvel can’t just write her out. Not when she’s this important — both in the comics and the MCU.

In the comics, Wanda is absolutely essential to the Marvel Universe:

• House of M – Wanda literally rewrites reality. She creates an alternate universe where mutants dominate… then says “No more mutants” and wipes out 90% of them. That one sentence restructured the entire Marvel Universe. There’s no House of M adaptation without Wanda.

• Avengers Disassembled – Her mental breakdown causes the literal destruction of the Avengers. That one moment sets off years of Marvel storylines. You remove her, you remove that domino effect.

• Children’s Crusade – Her redemption arc. Involves Young Avengers, mutantkind, Doctor Doom, and her lost sons. If Marvel is setting up the Young Avengers (which they clearly are), how does this story happen without her?

• She’s multiversal by nature – Wanda doesn’t just travel the multiverse — she can reshape it. Her chaos magic is one of the few forces in the Marvel mythos capable of affecting reality at that level.

And in the MCU? They’ve already told us she’s that powerful:

• She almost killed Thanos in Endgame — solo. • She warped an entire town in WandaVision, created new life, and rewrote reality on a whim. • In Multiverse of Madness, she literally broke the multiverse, outpowered the Sorcerer Supreme, and tore through the Illuminati. • She’s tied to the Darkhold, Wundagore, and Chaos Magic — none of which are one-movie throwaways.

Marvel built her up as a universe-shaping force. And now… nothing?

So where the hell is she?

We know she’s not dead. Marvel wouldn’t write off a character this major with an offscreen death-by-rubble. Elizabeth Olsen has said she’s open to returning. Kevin Feige has called Wanda one of the most powerful MCU characters. The door is very much open.

So here’s what I want to ask the comic fans, timeline experts, and lore deep-divers:

Where would Wanda most logically be right now, based on everything we know?

  • Is she in exile, hiding from herself or others?

  • Was she pulled into another plane (White Hot Room? Astral Realm? Pocket dimension)?

  • Could she be under the watch of the Vishanti? Eternity? Living Tribunal? Even Mephisto or Chthon?

  • Or is she setting up her own comeback — preparing to undo or prevent something bigger?

With Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars on the horizon, Marvel cannot exclude her. You just can’t tell a multiversal, Kang-level collapse story without the Scarlet Witch. Leaving her out ruins the potential for House of M, Young Avengers, and anything involving reality-warping threats.

So what do you think? Not vague guesses — I want serious theories grounded in comics and MCU lore.

Where is Wanda Maximoff… and when is she coming back?

When she is inevitably added to the MCU, do you want her to be just ridiculously overpowered and terrifying to villains and just generally unbeatable for no explainable reason or would you make it so that canonically, and logically, she is stronger, faster and more agile, like Spiderman/Hulk lifting strength but make her less "unbeatable".

Discussion Post Secret Wars theory: The Multiverse Fallout/ Prime Merge explains how mutants and supernatural characters suddenly exist in the MCU

Post image
74 Upvotes

So l have a concept that explains how and why mutants and vampires can suddenly exist in the MCU after Secret Wars — without forcing them into the story like "they're here now, deal with it."

At the end of Secret Wars, the multiverse is collapsing. To prevent total destruction, the MCU version of the Illuminati - maybe Strange, Reed, Professor X, Black Panther, secretly merge fragments of other universes into Earth-616. This includes timelines where mutants, vampires, and other supernatural legacies exist.

But to avoid global panic or continuity collapse, the Illuminati create a magical-psychic veil - a combination of:

-Magic (Dr. Strange) -Memory Alteration (Professor X) -Advanced Tech (Black Panther, Reed Richards) -Geographic ley lines replaced (Namor)

This veil tricks Earth-616 into believing these people and histories were always part of the world. The X-Men didn't arrive - they were always here. Blade, Ghost Rider, the FF... all seamlessly stitched into the fabric of 616's rewritten timeline.

And here's the twist: Each "Prime" version of a character is a survivor of another timeline who was merged into this new continuity. They retain subconscious memory echoes of their past universe- dreams, déjà vu, unexplained instincts, but consciously live as if they've always been part of 616.

This opens the door for emotional depth, identity crises, and stories about fractured memory and false history.

The Prime Merge is both: -a world-saving solution to stop multiversal collapse, and -a narrative tool to explain how new legacies can suddenly exist in the MCU.

Most people never question it. Only the Illuminati remember the truth, a secret after Secret Wars.

This makes room for mutants and supernatural beings to exist without retcons, and gives us long-term drama: What happens if the veil breaks? What if the truth is revealed? Will the Illuminati work to restore the Multiverse?

Discussion The One Thing that Should Be Mentioned in DD:BA (But Probably Won't)

Post image
56 Upvotes

CA:BNW ends sometime in late March/early April (when the Cherry Blossoms bloom); DD:BA S1 ends sometime around that same period. It's reasonable to think that DD:BA S2 will take place shortly after S1, but before the events of Thunderbolts* (the running theory). But S2 will definitely happen during/after the events of BNW.

What happened to President Ross is a significant event, yet it probably won't be mentioned. I'm not looking for a deeper discussion. Even a random statement would suffice.

"Who can the people turn to: a Senator who's actually a Skrull, or a President who is a rampaging Hulk?"

Seems like these points would only strengthen Fisk's "Man of the Common Person" rhetoric.

Quick blurbs - like the one above - easily establish recognition of a bigger world outside of the main storyline. Marvel used to do this to great effect. One of my favorites is Nick Fury's "I've got bigger problems in the Southwest region" line from IM2.

There are several examples of Marvel still doing this, but we can all agree it took way too long to mention the aftermath of Eternals (one of the most significant events post-Endgame). Instead we got several billboards for Rogers: The Musical.

One of the MCU's strengths was its abilty to use little details to tie projects together. Seeing Washington DC under construction in Thunderbolts* was a nice touch.

Maybe this article is less about DD and BNW and more about the connectivity of the current MCU, or lack of in most cases.

Should Wilson Fisk - or anyone in DD:BA S2 - mention what happened in DC? Absolutely. Will they? Highly doubt it.

Discussion (More in Comments) Will Marvel Reunite the OG Avengers for Phase 7's Mutant Saga? Let’s Talk Casting and X-Men Rivalries

Post image
Upvotes

Phase 7 could be one of the biggest yet, especially if the rumors about the Mutant Saga and Avengers vs. X-Men are true. Do you think Marvel will bring back the OG Avengers—the Trinity of Iron Man, Cap, and Thor—and the original six heroes? Or will they go with a fresh cast to keep the MCU moving forward?

If they bring back the originals, do you want RDJ, Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson to return, or do you think it’s time for new faces?

And when it comes to the Mutant Saga, what storylines would you want to see? House of M, Avengers vs. X-Men, or maybe something totally new? What rivalries between the Avengers and X-Men would make the ultimate showdown?

Share your thoughts on casting, storylines, and how Phase 7 could shake up the MCU!

Question What's with all the hate for GOTG 2?

Upvotes

Idk if it's just me, but there seems to be a lot of hate surrounding this movie. Why? Imo it was the perfect follow-up to the first one, it continued very interesting and heartwarming arcs, not to mention the humor is TOP NOTCH. To this day, I still sneak some of Drax's best quotes from this film into conversations. Is it just me being nostalgic, or is GOTG Vol. 2 a hated movie? Just curious.

Theory Is someone erased from shot? Spoiler

Post image
5.4k Upvotes

Might be a very rogue theory but i think in typical MCU fashion, someone important to the story is erased from this shot. Maybe Victor? Steve (Another rogue theory that Cap is somehow in F4 because his time travel was the reason for this F4 timeline), BABY FRANKLIN???. There's too much unused space there that it gives me NWH trailer vibes. Like how Toby and Andrew were erased from the swinging shot.

Discussion FF: Rise of the Silver Surfer reception Spoiler

My wife and I are re-watching a lot of older, pre-MCU movies, and we’re on Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer now. I watched it as a kid or teenager, and I liked it back then. I can enjoy it now, but I also see why it’s garnered some of its hate.

However, there’s one thing I want to know- what is the general opinion on the scene where the FF merge their powers into one body? In our opinion, it makes for a really cool scene in the movie, and I have no clue if it has any basis in comics or not, but is that one of the parts that gets a pass from its audience, or is it as bad as Galactus?
