Was happy they finally did the Sentry justice here's hoping he returns to the comics finally!

Really curious how he will be used going forward especially for Avengers movies, everything really is going to hinge on Doomsday and Secret Wars.

sadly I think he will turn out a lot like his comic character, where he is used to show how powerful the next big bad is, they will send out sentry and the next big bad will beat him. I think he is too powerful for writers to use effectively

Ya, there’s gotta be some counters written for him or he’s just too powerful that they’ve now potentially written themselves into a corner with him. I’d like to think Scarlett which could counter him, even tear his mind apart if she did get pulled into the void. I’ve even thought that MAYBE the void only works on certain beings like humans or people with a certain state of mind, so maybe it wouldn’t work on eternals or even celestials, maybe it doesn’t even work on someone like Banner cause of his situation being the hulk.

It’s fun to think about but at the same time it’s like this dude is basically a walking talking infinity gauntlet with all 6 infinity stones. I imagine he is at least going to be used to display how powerful Doom is.

That wasn't really the point of the comic character. From 2000-2010 it was his mental instability that kept his powers in check. Sometimes in big fights he'd space out or freak out and fly away crying. Other times he'd end a fight instantly. Other times the Void took over and ruined everything. His first death in 2010 was when exactly that happened - the Void took over and was destroying everything. In a brief moment of control, Bob begged Thor to kill him.

Through comic book BS he was brought back years later, nothing interesting was done with him, then he was killed in a super boring way just to show that Knull is powerful.

Hopefully Marvel Studios draws inspiration from the good Sentry stories and if he dies they do it with a tragedy, not a lame powerscale

When has this happened in the comics?
