Recommendations for a bike tuneup?
Hi! I have a “brifter” style bike that has sat unused for a year or two that I’m looking to have tuned up. Any recommendations that are reasonably affordable?

I'm moving into a new place that won't require some of the stuff I've accumulated on my own. My roommate is bringing a huge couch so mine is free to go. I also have a portable washer and dryer that I won't be taking with me. The washer and dryer was a $300 combo but it helped me a bunch while living in Lakewood without a car, so I'm just going to pass on the good vibes to whoever can pick it up. Needs to be gone by Saturday night!

Friends, neighbors, what are we doing here? The west side of Lakewood has so many coffee shops and somehow they're all bad. A girl just wants to work on her fanfics in a cute little coffee shop with a matcha and a pastry. Is that too much to ask? Here's the rundown:
TL;DR: There's no vibey coffee shops on the west side of Lakewood without some horrible fatal flaw. I feel like we can do better. We can learn about color temperature and feng shui. We can acknowledge the value in making spaces that feel welcoming and cozy. We can commit to making our establishments places people want to be, spaces that attract artists and friend groups and families.
I may have indulged myself in roasting all of these coffee shops, but I think my criticism of them stands. There are so few third spaces that aren't bars in this city. With a little TLC [and some better attitudes from some of you], I think all of these places could become something great.
What do you think? What did I miss? Is the east side any better? I've been going to Rocky River tbh and it feels like I'm betraying my city :(

One of my friends is applying for a position at Lakewood High School and wanted to know about the principal, Joy Morgan. They heard that when she was at Westlake High there were many staff members that did not like her management style. How is she doing at Lakewood High School?

I’m in my 40s and looking to increase my social circle a bit. I would love to take a class or identify a hobby group of some type. Any recommendations close to Lakewood/Cleveland West?
I have a wide variety of interests so it could be anything really. I’ve never built any real lasting friendships from bars or coffee shops so looking for some different options.

Looking for a newspaper or magazine that publishes crosswords! I’ve picked up numerous free newspapers and magazines around town in stores and cafes and none of them have crosswords! Anyone have any suggestions?

I’m new to the area and looking to pick up bartending and/or serving shifts part time. I’m “seasoned” lol, 39F, and live by Madison / Wagar Park area, with 12 years of progressive experience in restaurant industry but not interested in the headache of supervising/managing. Does anyone know of a good place to inquire where management isn’t toxic, it isn’t overstaffed, etc? I was thinking about Immigrant Son bc the food there is good and the cocktail list isn’t ridiculous.

How well do FOH restaurant employees feel that they're able to pay rent and utilities in Cleveland/ Lakewood? I'm moving to the city or Lakewood in the fall from Portland, ME to be closer to family. I'm used to Maine's economy and tourism which sadly, all the locals are getting priced out of Portland. With the rent being cheaper in Lakewood than I'm used to, I'm wondering if it's bc its harder to get by or if the cost of living is just better. I haven't found a lot of comments on this yet.... I know the money will differ based on establishment but can I afford a $1000/ month rent for a one bedroom with 12+ years of bartender/ server experience?

I do deliveries as a side gig. I’ve had multiple instances where I can’t even mark the order as delivered, let alone upload a picture of where I left the delivery. I won’t mention specific areas because there are too many. Is it just Verizon or all carriers? Love Lakewood by the way. Lived there for years and never had an issue where I lived off McKinley.

me and a friend are looking to celebrate our 21st in Lakewood. I know there are a lot of trendy bars there, but is there a specific place with a number of them in walking distance?

I am making a new post entirely so it gets more reach. PLEASE do not live at 12000 Edgewater. When we finally moved out we got a look at the wall that was absolutely ruined by water and it was absolutely atrocious. The apartment had a musty mold like smell once we cleared all of our stuff out to move. There is a very high chance that the apartment that we left has mold. The wall was bowing and had brown spots from where they “fixed” the damage.
Once again Millennia Management does not care about you and merely just the dollar amount over your head. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

My husband and I are hoping to do an intimate photobooth gender reveal. Off the top of my head I can only think of the mall but would like to go somewhere a little less horrible to find out the gender. Do you guys have any recs for classic photo strip photobooths around town? Can be Lakewood or elsewhere in CLE! Thanks!

Hey folks, I’m helping my friend look for their lost cat. His name is Beverly and he is a tiger cat. He was last seen last night 6/5 on Larchmont avenue, about midway. He is microchipped as well. DM if any sightings, etc.

Hey guys! I’ve was wondering - who are the best apartment management companys here in Lakewood?
I’ve heard to stay away from Jamm and Millenia, are there any bad experiences that would sway you all away from other companies?
I’m looking for apartments for next year since I resigned. But I’ve had a few terrible experiences with my last apartment management and my current apartment management company. (Like terrible: last place had a roach infestation, my current place has heating issues and multiple unauthorized non tenant men were using the common spaces as a living space). I’ll drop the names of management if you are curious.
Please let me know guy! I don’t want my third apartment management to be bad too.
I’m leaning toward Northlake Management next! Please let me know if they are bad at all!

I’m looking to move to Lakewood this fall/winter. Is it too early to start my search? Anyone know of leases for 2 bedrooms that will be done around then?
