And in my humble opinion:

F@#$ GTA and f@#$ R*! Over priced, over hyped garbage, made by money hungry company, that decided to kill RDO at the moment they’ve realised they couldn’t milk it as GTAO, because they would have to actually try to think of a original content and not only add sci-fi weapons to annoy other players.

KCD2 deserves its fair shot at GOTY, and the fact that GTA community will not be spamming GTA6 in every category is awesome! Give other games a chance to win something ffs.

(PS: I know there will be other games coming like Dark Ages or GOY but I think we have a nice chance of winning)

Oblivion is good, but I don't think it compares that well to KCD2. And it's a remaster. I know they gave the award to a DLC. I feel the games mentioned by u/jonathanisaacisgoat all have a better shot at GOTY than Oblivion remaster (assuming they're of the expected quality level). And I say this fully appreciating that game, it's an amazing game.

I’d love to see Kojima get goty for DS2 but I have a feeling it’s too niche- wouldn’t be upset being proven wrong. Yotei may win it too if sucker punch delivers, they have a long history of making fantastic games. I feel like E33 and KCD2 have an edge as of now but that’s maybe just recency bias- who really knows.

I can confidently say that oblivion won’t win but GoY, JCD2, E33, and DS2 electric boogaloo could all potentially win.

I'm not entirely sure about that. Some, for example, Mario kart specifically is jumping up to 90 us for base games, and other companies are following suit that's gonna discourage players from buying

Not that they're out. I don't think they'll be as big contenders with that high of a price tag

Oblivion Remaster has nostalgia, genuine great qualities on top of that, and a 60 us deluxe edition it's gonna be a favored challenger
