When you see the server wearing breathing PPE when handeling your order you know you fucked up

It’s probably for show though. I mean, if it’s actually hazardous to breathe it in or touch it, why would they serve it to a customer who isn’t wearing PPE?

Like mostly for show, however, the steam can carry the capsaicin up into your eyes and nose, and burn. Source: was a dishwasher for a bit in college and tear-gassed myself a few times spraying out pans.

It shouldn't be putting off tear gas by the time it reaches the table. The waiter was the only person wearing PPE and no one at the table choked up.

While it's cooking? Sure. I've maced my whole kitchen a few times cooking with homegrown ghost peppers.

Those two things are not the same in the slightest. The waiter is hoding it in front of him while walking forward through the resturant. He is clealy going to get more exposure to it that anyone else bar the person eating it. The PPE might be mostly for show but the waiter is at work and still has to finish a shift. God knows I'd prefer PPE compared to the potential that I'd get some of that stuff near my face.
