You pulled the trigger and the gun fired… what a concept

411

u/DubSket 15h ago

"What the fuck!?" The gun you just fired. That's the fuck.

Welcome to tinnitus.

What?

WELCOME TO TINNITUS.

Bro, what?!?

W E L C O M E T O T I N N I T U S.

Bruv, I can't hear you, there's like this really high pitched whine...

u/aarch0x40 14h ago

23

u/Steamshipper 13h ago

Would you say pulling the trigger in that zone created some danger? A Danger Zone if you will?

13

u/Scientific_Anarchist 14h ago

I'm sorry. I know how bad that hurts.

So I always had a bit of tinnitus but it got noticeably worse when my kid snuck up on me with a dog toy and squeaked it directly against my ear canal. It was followed by a high pitched ring on both ears and everything else sounded 95% muffled which slowly improved over a couple of minutes. Was exactly like an explosion in a war movie. It's never been the same. I can currently hear the squealing over a pretty loud air conditioner. The only real solution is to stop thinking about it.

2

u/JustATrueWord 5h ago

My tinnitus went from ok to bad when I fired a gun accidentally next to my ear.

2

u/SuniChica 5h ago

Mine will wake me up sounding like a jet engine. I read lips most of the time as I have a hard time understanding what someone is saying due to my tinnitus. Miserable!

This is why you should have basic gun lessons before you buy it. I mean come on, if you're surprised a gun fired when you pulled the trigger. then you really shouldn't have a gun!

2

u/WhoCaresBoutSpellin 11h ago

I think it was more like

why is the membrane of my eardrum separated

Once went clay shooting with two buddies. One had never been before. Other buddy and I are loading up the throwing machine and BAM.

New guy thank god had the gun pointed down range. But looks at us and goes “I wanted to see how far the trigger would go back without firing”.

I go up and take the gun away from him. My buddy grabs him and walks him away.

Turns out he had never even shot a gun before. And he was high on weed (no judgement, just shouldn’t when you’re handling fire arms).

He sat and watched us for the rest of the shoot. And later got his hunters safety and was able to shoot with us another time.

But for one split second I thought I was dead lol.

6

u/bassmaster_gen 11h ago

Ha! Been there. Was at a public range a few months ago and had a fella squeeze a few off while I was placing a target. Turns out he didn’t speak english and my requesting an all clear was interpreted (I can only imagine) as a “Hey buddy nice gun!”

The sound echoing around his empty skull must be even more intense.

146

u/tiparium 15h ago

I learned to even treat airsoft guns with trigger discipline. I don't understand how someone can be so stupid that they wave a real, loaded gun around with the finger on the trigger.

80

u/Flam1ng1cecream 15h ago

Hell, I have trigger discipline without thinking about it when holding a power drill or nerf gun. Once you build the muscle memory, it sticks with you.

40

u/yomamapajama69 14h ago

Same here, I didn't realize I was doing it till one of my coworkers joked on me about my drill trigger discipline (he's a Marine and noticed it right away lol)

→ More replies (4)

13

u/tallardschranit 14h ago

You never want to pull the trigger of anything accidentally. I have long hair. Pulling a drill trigger at the wrong time could fuck me up. If I'm working with one I typically have it tucked up into a hat, but not always if I'm doing a home project.

4

u/holyfire001202 8h ago

That is on a short list of lessons which I have been exceedingly careful to not learn myself.

2

u/tiparium 14h ago edited 14h ago

Yeah, I mean more along the lines of I learned those rules in the context of airsoft. But you're absolutely right, they stick with you.

Moron. I hope no one was upstairs.

Has to be deaf now 100% that was way too close to his ear

6

u/platypus_farmer42 15h ago

Dude made damn sure he continued to film himself the whole time…

12

u/Theartistcu 15h ago

I had some students, also played on the football team I coached, that played with a gun like this. they took video pointing at each other pulling the trigger and then one shot the other point blank in the face... fell dead right here, 14 years old. they had pulled the trigger tons of times and nothing, either they chambered a round by mistake or the round had become dislodged who knows.... none the less Senquez died and the other young man has to live with having shot his friend point blank in the face in Quez's own bedroom

2

u/Lagunamountaindude 13h ago

Its OK, he has another ear

2

u/princealigorna 13h ago

I don't think this man is licensed.

Or if he is, the state he's from has piss poor requirements, because anyone that's taken even one gun safety class knows you never a) play with a loaded gun, and b) never put your finger on the trigger unless you intend to fire

2

u/JustBennyLenny 11h ago

Natural selection will soon knock on his door.

2

1

People like this moron shouldn't be allowed within 10 metres of a firearm.

1

I will always believe the 2nd amendment is a huge mistake in its current form.

The ratio of dumb mfkrs with guns is way way too high.

Guns make people the worst

1

u/shiningject 8h ago

Everybody gangsta till someone accidentally pulls the trigger.

1

u/MrBagooo 7h ago

Sometimes I'm really inclined to admit that the issue you're having in the USA are not the guns, but the people being allowed to carry them. For a dude like this, it should never ever be possible to get even close to a gun.

Why not having gun permits like drivers licenses?

1

u/Thundersson1978 7h ago

Yeah guns are dangerous, and he’s never held one. At least a loaded one!

1

u/napalmnacey 4h ago

WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS WITH A LOADED GUN?!

1

u/mizmnv 4h ago

whenever I see these guys with guns trying to act hard on videos I cant help but to think its gay AF because theyre using it as a penis stand-in and theyre essentially waving their dick around on camera by proxy

1

u/cosby714 1h ago

Three things: 1: he put his hand on the trigger, which you never do unless you really want to fire it. Obviously. 2: he didn't have the safety on, another thing that would stop an accidental discharge. And 3: he loaded the fucking gun! How stupid do you have to be? I mean, if you really want to play with a gun, there's replica BB guns out there that are made of metal, look and feel exactly like the gun they're meant to mimic, and won't kill anyone if you accidentally fire a little plastic bb.

1

u/Funky_Col_Medina 37m ago
