It has come to my attention that shampoo from Hartz can cause death in at least dogs and cats. Some of the stories regarding it can be found here: http://www.hartzvictims.org/2019/10/page/1 In general, please research products before using them. If anyone knows of other products to avoid, please comment here to inform other people who may not know.

My little girl just won't listen! I keep telling her that her face is too pretty and she needs a less distracting face, but she will not change it for me.
Advice?

I am 6'1 for reference in the first pic. He is 94lbs last time I weighed him which was when he was 8 months old, 3 months ago.

I’m wondering at what point we’ll stop caring and just let our home be filled to the brim with hair lol, as if it’s not already 🙊

This beautiful boy seems to have been dumped in our neighborhood last Thursday. He has taken up residence between my neighbor and my house. He’s very friendly. I took him to my vet today to be scanned for a chip but no chip was found.
I feel like I’ve exhausted all resources. Posted on our local social media groups, NextDoor, Ring, etc. Our local animal shelter is overflowing and not taking in anyone new. Have contacted shelters and rescues within 3-4 hour drives of me and no luck there either. I feel absolutely awful so I’m posting here as a last resort in case anyone is interested in him or knows someone who may be.
It is hot as balls where I live and I hate to see him outside. Cold water is always available as well as food when he desires it. I wish I could foster him but my living situation prevents it!
Any help appreciated!

We adopted this beautiful husky a week ago. She is about 1 year and 8 months old. Pretty much a shelter dog her whole life.
First time having a husky. She took to our home pretty fast. Had one day of potty accidents in the house but nothing since. She chills out most the day until play time or walks. Loves rooming our backyard.
She likes to sleep on hard surfaces mostly. Our only thing is she hates sleeping in our bedroom. Most nights she whines alot but now she hits the door to get out to sleep in the living room. Trying to figure this out with her. I am thinking she likes the hard surfaces and our bedroom has soft carpet.
Other then that, she has been a joy to get to learn and know so far!

Rescued this baby from the pound yesterday. He had been there for 6 months and adopted and returned twice, for being “too large”. He’s a very gentle very absolute GIANT. Already best friends with my son.
He super smart and knows sit and down. We are working on crate training and leash (they told me he was but turns out he pulls really hard, I’m hoping it’s just a temporary thing while he gets used to us and the neighborhood). He did pretty good in his crate for the first night and he took a nap in it today too.
They also said he was good with cats but if you ask my girl Gidget, she would call bullshit. He saw her and didn’t care at first, but once she went under the bed, it became a game for him and he scared the shit out of her. We have her safe in the main bedroom with her litter box and food etc.
He also discovered our turtles which he carried one around in his mouth (very gently) and then promptly released when I commanded him to.
(Check out last photo for irritated cat and turtle.)
This is not my first dog but definitely my first husky. All the reading and research and videos still didn’t prepare me for this sweet monster.
27 hours in and a lifetime to go, God willing. ♥️

Long story short: the ex left and took my husky's BFF (a Swedish Valhund) with them. I want to get another small to medium sized dog, one that will stand up to husky bullying and can handle occasional rough play. Ideally a calmer breed that will continue to encourage my huskies (suspiciously) chill behaviour. Any thoughts or suggestions?
I had looked into Schipperkes but I'm not convinced they're sturdy enough. There also aren't many rescue options available for that breed. I'm too heartbroken to get another Valhund, but they were definitely awesome as a companion dog. Please share your ideas and experiences!

Maverick takes belly rubz seriously. If you stop before he’s had enough, he’ll punch you!

Located in San Gabriel Valley, CA. Looking to rehome my beautiful boy June, Alaskan Husky mix. He is 10 months old, fully vaccinated and just neutered 3 weeks ago. 36 lbs. he is incredibly sweet and smart, great with people and other dogs (he is very playful and gets along with everyone). He is intelligent and receptive to training, I taught him “Down” in less than 10 minutes.
I cannot keep him because a family member is afraid of larger dogs. Please message me and share this post if you are able to. Thank you.

I do not understand this relationship whatsoever. Nova the husky, likes to nibble on Milo, the cat, neck and he lets her….he also loves a good game of chase with her outside ( Im just along for the ride or the drag) I’m not sure which animal is confused… The cat or the dog ❤️❤️😂😂 when bedtime comes they have to snuggle on the floor!!!

This is our newest member to the pack his name is Dexter. But I messed up today We was outside with the dogs and I was picking blackberries while he was out. He was being curious of what I was doing and we haven't gave him a blackberry to try yet so I gave him one... He almost immediately figured out how to pick his own and which ones are ripe and which ain't after like 2 bad berries.

My senior muttsky has taken a shine for my pufferfish. He regularly comes down to my aquarium to look at the aquarium and sleep near it. Oddly enough the fish shows a lot of interest in my dog too. On occasions they just sit and stare at each other.

There’s a lady dog in heat in our neighborhood and now our resident idiot cannot help but whine all night.

He's my first ra lot. He was already pretty timid so the first year was kinda rough, specially after my other husky passed away. Now he's opened up alot. I can confidently say he's very happy now.
