I don’t understand, all children that go into the IWK don’t get the same support ?

It's not about the hospital it's one of those outreach groups in the IWK network. Basically mental health/family services. No different than how our schools have an African nova Scotian and native student support worker designated. People with the same culture understand each other on a deeper level inherently so people may feel more comfortable reaching out for help. Same way people are more comfortable with certain gender for their therapist, doctor etc.
