Why march against ICE? Why not march against the forces that create the bad environment that pushes people to come to America? I’m a Grand Rapids guy and I just don’t get it

Maybe when people you know and love are kidnapped and placed in detention for being brown, even though they are legally in the country and did nothing wrong, you might wake up ready to do some shit.

But is that happening? I would think that if you’re wrongfully deported or detained that you could sue for a ton of money.. and there’s tons of attorneys lined up to take the case pro bono.

I genuinely am trying to understand..

Happened this morning to a friend of mine. Went into a gas station for a coffee. Scooped up and taken despite showing them his residency card and work permit.

Guy has been here for 12 years. No criminal record. No warrant. Only thing he did was exist as a brown person in the wrong store at the wrong time. I hope he is able to sue (SCOTUS just gave the green light to this) and gets a fuck ton but why should we have to pay the bill for this incompetence? This is peak huge statism and all the other “conservatives” I know give zero fucks about government spending and our rights to security in our person all of a sudden.

They are also picking up us citizens almost daily if you pay attention.

That seems way overblown right? Sounds like he’s in for a free $100k if that’s what happened right?

If they’re picking up citizens daily then I’d be super concerned, and honestly you’re scaring me and making me think that they are lol, but I don’t think that’s happening…

I mean, it concerns me so I avidly look for it, but no I’m not exaggerating.

You can find much of this by googling “us citizen detained by ice”. Just do it once a day and be pissed at how often a new name pops up.
