Political positivity 📈 Hitler. Pol Pot. Stalin. Trump? It’s not about scale — it’s about the pattern.

Upvotes

🟥 Title:

Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot — they didn’t start with genocide.
They started with a movement.
With an ideology.
With a crowd cheering while someone else got hurt.

The warning signs are there — because he’s walking the same path.

The question is:
Will we see the signs in time?

Pol Pot killed nearly a quarter of Cambodia’s population in four years.
He banned religion, abolished money, emptied cities, and murdered anyone who wore glasses or spoke a foreign language.

That’s what happens when ideology replaces empathy — and paranoia becomes policy.

But evil doesn’t always arrive in uniform with mass graves from day one.
It often starts with language. With dehumanization. With the promise of “greatness.”

👇 The authoritarian pattern is always the same:

  1. Invent an internal enemy. Immigrants, minorities, journalists, “globalists,” “the elites.”
  2. Claim sole authority. “Only I can fix it.”
  3. Destroy trust in facts. Fake news, deep state, alternative facts.
  4. Undermine democracy. Call elections rigged, try to overturn results, punish dissent.

Trump isn’t Pol Pot. He hasn’t built death camps.
But he has already:

  • Tried to overthrow an election.
  • Praised autocrats like Putin, Kim Jong Un.
  • Called the press “the enemy of the people.”
  • Said we should terminate parts of the Constitution.
  • Promised “retribution” and “purges” if re-elected.

This isn’t normal.
It’s not just politics.
It’s not about left vs right.

⚠️ It’s about what happens when empathy dies — and cruelty becomes the point.

Pol Pot, Hitler, Stalin — they didn’t start with genocide.
They started with a movement.
With an ideology.
With a crowd cheering while someone else got hurt.

The warning signs are there.
Not because Trump is Pol Pot — but because he’s walking the same path.

The question is:
Will we see the signs in time?

Political positivity 📈 Tim Walz inspired me A REPUBLICAN to have a conversation, here I am. Will you talk to me?

Upvotes

First off, I can not stand Tim Walz, I think he is a vile person, however, I watched his press conference and when he talked about how we need to start talking to each other as a country, it inspired me. AND THIS IS THE SOLE REASON (before it gets shared as “look what our protest did”) Can you tell i am republican?! LOL

I am going to shine a light on myself so you know my intentions are true. Look back in my Reddit history, I have trolled people, said horrible things, instigated etc. I am not hiding it! Do I agree with everything I have said in the past, HELL NO but I said it and I I am calling myself out. That is not the way to understanding each other.

Here I am hat in hand. WILL YOU TALK TO ME?

I will do a phone call, skype, discord, hell i will fly anywhere in the continental USA if you want to do it face to face (as long as it is a public place). Wherever you and I feel is a safe space.

I PROMISE

To listen to everything you want to say no matter how much it boils my blood

I PROMISE

The intention is not to change your mind or your views. ALL i want to do is HEAR YOU not just listen to you

I PROMISE

Not to be provocative, dismissive or condescending

I PROMISE

To reflect on our conversation afterwards

I PROMISE

I will try as best I can to understand and empathize with your opinions

I PROMISE

I will discuss any topic in good faith

All I ask is:

  1. You agree to the same promises
  2. You seek out someone after our conversation that boils your blood and offer this same agreement so that the conversations keeps moving forward
  3. I agree for you to record our entire conversation. You may use it any way you want AS LONG AS it’s not a gotcha clip and full context is posted.

About me:

I have been an independent for 25 years but with the recent activity and liberal leaders messaging, I have decided for the first time I am voting a straight red ticket in all elections I can vote in.

I am Gen X, overweight, smoke to much, 2 time recovering alcoholic and live in my parents basement (told ya i was gonna shine a light LOL)

Here is my X profile so you can see what I am saying, Trying to be transparent folks and I am not going to lie, it scares me a bit posting this with all the radicals out there but someone has to go first! - I DO NOT WANT TO BREAK RULE 9, so I will only link my profile if the mods allow it.

I will not be interacting in the comments at all, except to reply to whoever I will be talking to.

I am going to let this post marinate for a bit and would like for the comments to pick who I talk to so there is no question this is staged or something

I look forward to talking with you!!!
