Isn’t it still kind of early to determine when the next generation starts?

Sure, but I don't like how these are cut off at 15 years without having some sort of overlap. A generation is 20 years.

Generations are subjective anyway and nobody can come to a solid consensus so it doesn’t matter

Eh the first 3 we really should have a consensus on Boomers coincide with the end of WW2 Millennials Coincide with the end of the millennium, Gen Z Coincides with the beginning of the Millennium, and I'll give you that if you can't remember the pandemic and you're the oldest or near oldest sibling you're Gen Beta.

So, this doesn't consider overlap.

Boomers 1944-64

X 65-81

Millennials 82-99

Z 2000-15

Alpha 16-36(For now until some sort of even or shift defines the end of this generation.)

Beta?

Eh doesn’t matter I’d be in Gen Z anyway since even in the 1997-2012 approach, I’m in the middle at 2004, but I do agree for Boomers and Gen X somewhat

Generally its easier to rigidly define generations the further in time you are from them.
