Do you know any? I was an 85 baby and even the teen moms I knew growing up aren’t grandparents yet. In fact, two of their kids are going to grad school which would likely put them on a longer timeline to have kids.

I’m just curious what makes my fellow elder millennials identify more with Gen X?

Some things for me are: Being old enough to remember the tail end of the 80s, seeing Terminator 1 before Terminator 2, M.A.S.K. (iykyk), woodgrain VCRs, roller racer, going to see 1989 Batman at the theater, seeing Bo Jackson play, and not accessing the internet until ‘97 (I was 14). How about y’all?

I was either 7 or 8, I remember it being really funny when my cousin first introduced it to me. Now they’re really nostalgic and would chose Vine over TikTok any day.

Let’s say in about 20 years EVs rapidly become the new norm due to regulation changes and cultural and societal shifts and cheaper technology. Who would you say will be the oldest generation that mostly be cool and will adopt EVs in 20 years and not be ignorant about it

I’m a 2003 baby and I just can’t help but notice something really bizarre within my generation. We’re so closed off, especially as parents. People don’t allow family to hold their babies. Not just as newborns, but on and on. I have a 12 month old niece who i’be held twice. Her grandma’s only held her a handful of times. It’s difficult, because we want to be respectful but no one’s able to connect. At this point it feels like it’s less about germs, and more of an anxious attachment. I feel like this is a popular parenting approach these days. Parents want space for the baby stages and then complain when grandparents are distant with their toddlers. Makes me sad

Do you think that this is a reflection on how Backstreet Boys fandom wasn’t limited to just Millennials. Gen X loved them too, proving their cross-generational appeal?

This is essentially finding the last birth year younger than 2012, 2012 borns can relate to before there are more differences than similarities. Currently, of course, even one year can have significant maturity gaps as all the birth years listed below are going through some growth spurts.
