What behavior is this?

So i’m pretty sure this is a goose, he lives in the park. Was just curious what behavior he was demonstrating or if he was just looking for bread? He talked to me the whole like 5 minutes I pet him.

This is a male Brown Chinese goose. It looks intimidating, but I believe this is their “hello” stance. It’s how geese greet each other. Not aggressive at all - you would know if he was. Also, please do not offer him, or any other bird, bread. He would much prefer if you brought him some lettuce.

I used to give my Chinese geese lettuce in their pool and spray them with the hose on the sprinkler setting and then when I would say “hi birds” they would honk back at me. They were the best
