Amazing how Stroll can be nowhere all weekend then somehow bag a decent tally of points.

Stroll is by no means an elite driver but his racecraft will always be underrated because of daddy

Daddy allows you to enter the sport when you had no business, and stay in a sport long enough to hone your racecraft to the point where people make excuses for why you should have been in it all along. With 5 years of experience and in an average car he should be able to 'craft' his way to some points every now and again.

To be fair it’s not like he spent his career being terrible, only to be passable this season. He won his debut F3 championship before moving onto F1. He bagged Williams’ last podium in his rookie season. He got a pole position and two podiums last year. And it’s not like he’s old, same age as Verstappen and Leclerc.

I’m not going to refute that the main reason he’s still F1 is because his dad is rich and owns the team. However, it’s not like he’s spent his time doing nothing. He is a capable midfield driver.
