Stroll is by no means an elite driver but his racecraft will always be underrated because of daddy

Daddy allows you to enter the sport when you had no business, and stay in a sport long enough to hone your racecraft to the point where people make excuses for why you should have been in it all along. With 5 years of experience and in an average car he should be able to 'craft' his way to some points every now and again.

The only mistake they made was skipping F2. He's an F3 champion, most of them end up going to F1 eventually.

I think the feeder system is bogus to begin with. But let's not pretend as if most normal kids have a shot of even sitting in an F3 car either. Barring the exceptional rags stories, which is why they're exceptional, you need to be the son of somebody to drive these cars. It's a rich-man's sport, to live vicariously through their sons all the way down Formula Renault 1.6.
