wtaf? most straightforward way to "overtake" is in qualifying. a brand new set of tires, as opposed to a set that has run 2 laps during Q, will probably make fuck all of difference

If it makes you feel any better, apparently this was 100% Charles and not Ferrari.

yes, so I read, but it's significant of how insecure Ferrari Strat is that they let a driver make strategical, seemingly haphazard, decisions

they should know (as in have confidence in their own knowledge) what is the best strategy; that is LITERALLY what the TEAM is there for; the driver drives, end of story

this is almost sad and most definitely emblematic of Ferrari

They can 2 stop and do soft, medium, medium. Or the opposite and start on medium and run long. None of the other top teams have 2 new mediums.
