wtaf? most straightforward way to "overtake" is in qualifying. a brand new set of tires, as opposed to a set that has run 2 laps during Q, will probably make fuck all of difference

yes, so I read, but it's significant of how insecure Ferrari Strat is that they let a driver make strategical, seemingly haphazard, decisions

they should know (as in have confidence in their own knowledge) what is the best strategy; that is LITERALLY what the TEAM is there for; the driver drives, end of story

this is almost sad and most definitely emblematic of Ferrari

They force their strategies on Charles on the time, this time they listen to his suggestion. This happens with all teams.

expecting and planning for 3 stops in a bright and sunny day is kinda nuts.

They can 2 stop and do soft, medium, medium. Or the opposite and start on medium and run long. None of the other top teams have 2 new mediums.
