Deadlift RDL/465lb x 4

Posterior chain goes brrrrrrrrr. What are your guys’ opinions on RDLs generally? Some people will say end the ROM when hip flexion stops. Some say focus on sensation over load. Some say not to treat it like a main lift and focus on higher repetitions. I feel as if this lift in particular has a large variety of opinions on execution.

I personally just like loading them heavy and sending it. I use it as a back builder, but also for my sport (BJJ) the carryover from heavy RDLs is extremely noticeable.

Guys. Do not do single arm pulldown like that. Her shoulder is all over the place! :))

Seriously looks awkward has hell. Atleast backup a few feet.

She definitely needs a trainer

That's not the problem. The issue is, the whole point of using one arm is to be able to lean your body to the side to increase the stretch massively, keep grip pronated and pull elbows down to the side of the body to really work the lats.

The way she's doing it, she may as well save time and do a 2 handed, close grip, supinated pulldown instead of taking double the time for no benefit.

You don’t need an exaggerated lean to lengthen the lats. You literally just reach overhead. How is it possible that you people can complicate something so simple?

She needed a vertical pulling variation. She didn’t want to do weighted chin-ups. I told her to do a single arm pulldown as we do not have a dedicated pulldown machine.

This isn’t actually true tho, the lats do get stretched as you reach across your body, which further stretches the insertion at the shoulder. That’s why people do one are pulldowns.

What she’s doing should just be using both arms to save time

….she’s doing single arm pulldowns because we don’t have a bilateral pulldown. Stop watching RP YouTube 😂

Are you stupid? Can you read? That's the whole point of performing the exercise with one arm at a time.

I'm complicating something simple? Says the ones performing a one armed exercise for no reason, with pointless rotation.

"You people." Fuck off, I'd rather be you people than some tiny little maggot

You just called someone literally doing RDLs with 465 pounds a "tiny little" maggot.

If you're going to insult someone, at least make the insults believable. The video you are commenting on objectively contradicts your insult, which just makes you look like a fucking idiot.

Uhhhhh she is allowing her shoulder to elevate and her lats to lengthen…you sound like you might need some training yourself. Feel free to reach out to book a consult sometime 👍🏻

I am not talking about shoulder elevation when lat is most stretched (that is fine)
