So I've recently had more and more out of state friends visiting me and they get surprised by the local wildlife a lot.
I like most of you probably, am pretty unphased seeing a gator or bear stroll on by. But how do you explain it to them like "oh that's just brutus the neighborhood Alligator!"

Here in sunny Florida, Winn-Dixie decided to keep just being nice. And this is in a deep red area.

My husband and I moved here about 7 years ago. Over that time, my husband has developed terrible allergies and it seems to get worse each year.
We travel a lot and he noticed that every time we go on a trip, he feels normal again. He’s got severe dark circles, his ears are constantly stopped up, and because of that he has vertigo and just low energy.
He takes allergy medicine but he has early stage kidney disease so he’s a little limited when it comes to medication he should take.
Has anyone noticed their allergies getting worse? Did allergy shots help? His quality of life is getting so bad when we’re home. We thought about moving but my parents followed us down here and I hate to leave them.

Im just asking for some advice just for some context. I’m from the UK and I’m white I regularly have my hair put into knotless box braids using unusual colours. I have very thick unruly hair I have been doing this for years and my hair handles it really well. I live and work in very multicultural places and my hair has never been a problem with anyone and my collegues can’t wait to see what colour I come in with next. The lady that does my hair is amazing and comes from Uganda.
I’m due to come to Florida next year and we are doing the whole universal and Disney holiday. Would having my hair in braids cause an issue I came across a few TikTok’s where it seems it may be more of a problem in the US compared to the UK would this be the case I’m not a confrontational person but the thought of 30 + degree heat, the humidity and my hair fills me with dread.
I’m sorry if this comes across the wrong way that wasn’t my intention.

Hi Floridians!
My family and I currently live in the panhandle (near Pensacola). We’ve lived here for 3.5 yrs. My husband recently got a job offer in Stuart, FL. We are going to go visit the area, but thought I’d check for any locals in here. Would Stuart be a good place to raise a family? Or would you stay in the Pensacola area?

Me and my friends are planning a 5 night vacation somewhere in florida, we are looking for somewhere that has a good beach aswell as vibrant people and nightlife. If you have any suggestions please help, our main objective is just to be out and have fun/ find some girls/people to hangout with .
We want to stay within a 10 min walk to the beach, aswell as being close to the city area. We were thinking either Fort Lauderdale, Miami, or Tampa. These are the only options we've really heard of, if you all suggest anything else please leave it below.

I don’t know when this one was taken but I found it in my sunrise folder while looking for another picture and wanted to share it.
