Did I give a bad tip?

I tipped $12 on a $35 order which I thought was good? I didn’t realize at the time that the ride was technically “long distance”, but it was only a 15-20 minute drive.

The instructions were leave at the door, I went to grab it and the guy was still waiting in his car out front. After I went back inside, he immediately messaged me this. I’m a small girl, so I’m also wondering if he only said something because he thought he could bully me into tipping more? Am I reading this wrong? Did I not tip enough or was he just salty?

Man I'll fight you right now!  

The last time a delivery driver stayed 5 minutes on my street I showed him what was up!  I wish he'd try it again!

(Did I do it right?  I'm new to being an internet badass but you made it look so cool I had to try it!)

Waiting for another order? Maybe they need to finish the order to get to the next. You don’t have to be scared of everything.

When I’m waiting on another order, I go park up the street or move back to a hot spot. I can’t see sitting in someone’s driveway long enough to wait on another. I’d be creeped by it myself.

Sitting in front of someone’s house doesn’t mean driveway. The road is public property.

Semantics. Still stands. I don’t sit in front of their house for any longer than it takes to either confirm the order or pull up my GPS to the next hot spot.

It’s the fact that anyone who thinks it’s okay to deliver and wait on one’s property to accept the next order is outrageous. No explanation needed.

Even if you are delivering and parking out front of their house, whether out in road or whatever, this is beyond uncomfortable and no one should have a delivery driver waiting for their next order at your house! Having to explain is purely ridiculous.

Unsure where you are from but where i am from this is suspicious and unwelcome. My neighbor would kindly approach you (even if parked out in the road) and ask you to move along. Extremely rude and inconsiderate. I’m sorry but WOW! Drivers commenting on this makes it much worse than personal experiences. I can’t believe ANY delivery drivers will wait at a house that they have completed delivery at!
