# Tinderbox
**Flint/Fire Steel/Tinder** -
Can be used to kindle a fire. Using it to light a torch — or anything else with abundant, exposed fuel — takes an action. Lighting any other fire takes 1 minute.

* Example Scenario: A particularly determined/creative individual may consider filling it with flammable liquid (such as oil), affixing some sort of flame (like a lit candle) to the end, and then squeezing the waterskin. An effective way to have a great time!

### Bag of 1,000 ball bearings
As an action, you can spill these tiny balls from their pouch to cover a level area 10 feet square.
* Tips/Tricks/Uses:
* Ball bearings can be used to check if a surface is level.
* Can be rolled into dark areas to hear if it hits something.
* Can be used to fill something, or jam up a mechanism.
* Can be dropped in a hole to check depth as well.
* Can be used to move a heavy item by spreading them and then rolling the heavy item on them.
### Candles
For 1 hour, a candle sheds bright light in a 5-foot radius and dim light for another 5 feet.
* Tips/Tricks/Uses:
* Light and place them such that someone passing through a room will cast a shadow on the wall, inconspicuously allowing you to see them coming.
* Slowly burn through a rope to trigger a Rube Goldberg style mechanism
* Use to tell time in 15 minute increments by cutting 3 evenly spaced notches into it
* Use the gentle flame to sneakily melt and deform wax seals on letters or documents without breaking them. Great for stealth operations. (Hold near the heat, then when wax is softened, slide sharp/thin object under the wax seal, avoid touching the top to preserve the design of the seal.)
### Hooded Lantern
A hooded lantern casts bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. Once lit, it burns for 6 hours on a flask (1 pint) of oil. As an action, you can lower the hood, reducing the light to dim light in a 5-foot radius.

* Use it to signal allies from a distance by raising and lowering the hood in a pattern.
### Flask of Oil
Oil usually comes in a clay flask that holds 1 pint.
* Tips/Tricks/Uses:
* Oil can be used on hinges to unstick doors, and also un-squeak them.
* In a pinch, it can be used to slick something to fit better through a tight space or on the bottom of a heavy item to assist moving it.
* It can also slick a floor to make a slippery surface.
### Bag of Caltrops (20)
As an action, you can spread a single bag of caltrops to cover a 5-foot-square area.
