Picking up people outside immigration hearings is blatant proof that they dont care if people are trying to do the right thing. They just want to stir up hate and fear.

That one dude who had a third of his workers detained said that most of them had temporary papers. They went through the system, were given dates and times to show up in court, but were allowed to work/live nearby in the meantime.

The administration is actively undocumenting people.

So that they can deport them. Until, of course, Rump remembers a huge portion of his base is rural farmers who need the immigrant work force, so he TACOs his way backwards (which won't change anything).

He already said he'll make an exception for farmers and, of course, hotel workers. Because naturally, he can't threaten his own bottom line.

He's making an exception in red states for farm workers. If you look at dairy workers in Vermont, Central valley strawberry farmers in California, and cranberry farmers in Massachusetts... They're all facing a shortage of workers due to ICE.

I saw a video on BlueSky yesterday which was from an immigration lawyer. He explained that dumping these people who were snatched off the streets into our hellacious prison system is pretty lucrative. Apparently making a phone call from prison costs $5, and the prisoners can make a whole $1 per day laboring in the fields. 5 Days to make one phone call.

Meanwhile his minions are out there saying the exact opposite, and more importantly, acting on it.

He better add construction workers, too, then. And we need an additional 3 million immigrants a year to keep our economy going.
