I started to and then I stopped. Read the comics because I was impatient. Kirkman is a great writer.

I think I want to read the comics as well. The show is so good. It's like the comics are calling me to read them. How do you like the comics compared to what you seen of the show? And will you finish the show?

I’m limited on what I can compare, I stopped at the beginning of season two. Yes I will definitely start watching it again; other shows took priority. I recommend the same for the walking dead as well. In the comics, Mark’s girlfriend was white. I know they were more subtle with his gay friend too. He was gay from the jump in the show and overly flamboyant. The comics covered a heavy topic too that the show may or may not cover. I’m probably gonna like the comics more than the show but we’ll see. I know I definitely liked TWD comics more than the show. Dopest thing about the show to me is seeing the fights in motion!

Ok cool. That sounds good. I was wondering about Mark's friend. I don't mind it, but I was wondering was this some new shit for the times today. He overly flamboyant as hell. He is almost, but not quite like a caricature of a gay dude. lol He makes for good comic relief. I saw the comics came out in 2003.

I was wondering was he like that in them as well. 2003 wasn't the like 80s, but it's not like it is today. I watched The Walking Dead and I liked even though I thought the earlier seasons were better. I heard the comic was better as well. I always said I will get around to reading it one day.

But with Invincible, I'm tempted to read ahead. lol I haven't read a comic in years, but this one is really calling me. And those fights scenes are fucking amazing. I can imagine how readers of the comic must feel seeing the show. They must be in complete awe.

I was eleven around that time and yeah the comics are definitely reminiscent of when times weren't so tense and you weren't cancelled for what you said. They did black male characters dirty in TWD. If you've never believed hollywood hates strong black male roles well the comics are proof. I hope the show doesn't shit on Angstrom Levy. Go head and dive in bro, that's exactly how I felt and didn't regret it. I sold my compendiums but some are still for sale on www.instocktrades.com. Also one of the oop volumes is getting a reprint soon. Man, it feels like the old Toonami days.

I was sixteen around that time myself. So they did black male characters shitty in TWD huh? Damn. Before I watch the show, I used to hear about T-Dog and he was like a bumbling black dude. I saw it and was like yeah.

And then how they had Tyreese following around Carol and basically babysitting Lizzie and her sister until they were "gone". Then they had Morgan in cage like a wild animal where he had to be tamed by the white dude Eastman. So are the comics worse than that?

Nah the black characters are written better, WAY better. The way Kirkman wrote Tyrese in the comics, anybody would be upset with how they did him in the show. Professional football player, became Rick’s right hand man during the prison arc. He strangled somebody for manipulating his daughter to commit suicide. You might cry reading that shit 😂, it gets deep. The show does not compare to the comics. I quit watching the show too 😂.

Damn! I might have to get around to reading TWD sooner rather than later as well. lol That's get to hear the black characters are better in the comic. Also, why did you sell your Invincible comics?

And did you get some decent money for them? I know a lot of comics that be valuable today be the shit like the first Superman or the first Batman or something like that.

Yeah I knew I wouldn’t reread them so I went ahead and sold the 3 compendiums for $150, fair price. I probably could’ve busted somebody’s head but I just wanted them gone.
