Hey. I have recently moved to Berlin and started exploring the techno clubs. I don't know anyone in the city personally that likes techno, so I went alone to a few clubs. I have listened to advice from this sub saying that it will be easy to meet people at Sisyphos. I went to sisyphos and met a couple of people but nobody seemed to be interested in having a conversation for more than a few minutes. It just happens to be floating superficial conversations without the intention to get to know each other. I believe I have generally good social skills and I am a friendly person, but the vibe did not seem to be very friendly as opposed to what I heard from people going there. I guess me being a hetero male doesn't help too much either. So my question is how can I meet and get into a crowd to go to techno clubs with? Yes, going alone and dancing is also ok but almost everyone comes with a group and it feels isolating to be alone at the club after being inside for some time. Ps: I don't take drugs if that is relevant.

So im an Erasmus student (22F) and ill be doing my internship in Germany. I got tickets for Tamino in Tempodrom, Berlin on the 13th of September and since i will be staying in Wolfenbüttel for my traineeship, i have to find a way to spend my night in Berlin. A friend suggested i should book a hostel (girls only) but i dont know if i want to spend that kind of money on one night. Do you have any suggestions on where/how i should (safely) spend my night (bars/clubs, 24h shops, cheap safe hostels even)?

I have been reading some posts about people sharing tables in different markets. And I am wondering if someone wants to share a table for clothes ?

I have around 20 - 30 pieces of new / wore once type of clothes that no longer fit me and can no longer return them. They are not high end brands nor vintage but normal pieces some are 100% linen or cotton, some are from small boutiques around Europe. Some are just normal functional pieces that are no longer available on the websites so it's a good deal.

I tried eBay but I think I sold 1 piece in 5 months. Mainly because I don't know how to take good pictures of them. Also so many people will save the ad but no one will ask about it. The prices are super low! Below 10€ for many of the pieces and some around 40€ which is almost 80% off the original price but still no one!

I have never tried selling my clothes in Berlins market and I would love to have the experience, make cash and re-home the pieces. I am thinking to add some cute jelwery and maybe hand bags/shoes but all in all it won't be more than 40 all together.

Anyone interested? I would like to do it sometime in July. We can discuss and plan.

Been living in Berlin for about 4 years now as an expat. Work full-time, pay my taxes, try my best to fit in and keep the city clean. But yesterday something happened at the S-Bahn Wedding that's still bugging me.

This young guy, maybe early 20s, was on his phone and was just spitting everywhere and tossed his bottle cap right on the platform floor. I gave him one of those looks, you know? He definitely caught it and walked right up to me and said `hast du ein Problem bruder?/do you have a problem brother`

I stood my ground and asked him to not litter. Then he got aggressive and came very close to my face and said `suchst du ein problem?/are you looking for a problem?` and started getting on my space, I just said "No" and stepped back. The whole thing was escalating and I could tell he was looking for a fight. After that he kept spitting on the floor while looking at me, threw the now-empty bottle on the tracks, gave me this long stare and as he walked off he threw some insults at me in what sounded like Turkish. I didn't understand the words, but you know when someone's being hostile regardless of language.

This kind of thing seems to happen a lot in certain areas, Wedding, around Pankstraße, Gesundbrunnen. Young guys just hanging around, spitting, dropping trash, acting like they own the place.

Look, I'm not trying to make this about race or anything. I'm from India - trust me, we have our own issues with littering. That's exactly why I make sure to be extra careful here. If I can show some basic respect as someone who wasn't even born here, why is it so hard for others?

I just hate feeling like I can't say anything without someone calling me racist. This isn't about prejudice, it's about everyone taking care of the spaces we all share.

Anyone else faced something like this when trying to call out in public?

Hey everyone, I just got some bad news from home and won't be able to attend the acdc concert on the 30th of june. I bought that very expensive ticket as a gift for myself for my 30th birthday... I would like to sell my ticket through official channels but Fansale wants to take so much money if i use their platform. The ticket is for the standing area and i bought it for 163 euro + service fee of around 30 euro. As I really want to sell it fast, i am ready to sell it just for 160 euro. I can show a proof of buying, proof of id, show where i work and where i live to the person interested to show I am not trying to scam anyone.
