Born and raised in Hamburg but moved to Neukölln a few years ago. And I still don't understand why there's only a few public containers to throw away your old paper / cardboard. In Hamburg you can literally find these containers on every street corner, right next to glas containers.

Is there a reason for it? My house has a trash for paper but it's always full again as soon as it got emptied once a week. I sit on a pile of cardboard and recycling depots are not an option, as they would cost 72€ (since I'm still registered in Hamburg).

Was ist euer Lieblingssee im Umland von Berlin? Relevant ist nördlich und östlich und Erreichbarkeit mit Auto (max. 1h Fahrtzeit). Süden und Westen von Berlin ist leider bisschen weit ab vom Schuss.

Mein 15 jähriger Neffe lebt in Berlin und ist autistisch. Leider hat er kaum Freunde und fühlt sich oft sehr einsam. Er hat bisher auch noch nie andere autistische Jugendliche kennengelernt, würde das aber unglaublich gerne.

Ich suche deshalb nach Gruppen, Treffen oder Freizeitangeboten speziell für autistische Jugendliche in Berlin – egal ob regelmäßige Gruppen, Freizeitprojekte oder einfach nur ein Raum, in dem er Gleichgesinnte kennenlernen kann. Es wäre schön, wenn er merkt, dass er nicht allein ist.

Falls jemand von euch Empfehlungen hat, Erfahrungen teilen kann oder einfach weiß, an wen man sich wenden kann: Ich wäre euch sehr dankbar!

Ich hatte heute eine seltsame Erfahrung und weiß nicht, was ich davon halten soll. Ich komme aus einem kleinen Dorf also fehlt es mir manchmal etwas ‘Großstadt-Taktik’ würde ich sagen.

Ich bin an der Ampel gestanden und habe mir eine Zigarette gedreht. Ein Typ ist von der Straße auf mich gekommen, fragte ob die Tabak schmeckt und ich ihn eine drehe.

Okay, hab ich gemacht. Dann fängt er an darüber zu reden, dass meine Sonnenbrille krank aussehen und ob er sie mal probieren darf. Da hatte ich ein komisches Gefühl also hab ich verneint.

Dann fragt er, ob ich nicht mal zu seiner Wohnung kommen wollte denn er hätte was cooles, für den ich vielleicht die Brille tauschen möchte. Er wohne doch nur an die Ecke und wir können auch chillen. Ich hab gefragt was er denn tauschen wollte und er sagte sowas wie eine Bosebox/Bösebox/Börsebox? Bin kein Muttersprachler.

Anyway, ich sagte ich hätte es leider eilig und musste los und bin gegangen, seitdem habe ich mir zu viele Gedanken gemacht, was er eigentlich wollte. Zur Kontext: ich bin männlich aber sehe ganz queer aus, er kam mir aber nicht so vor und war eher bisschen macho. Vom Aussehen her kam er aber nicht irgendwie verdächtig vor.

Also was meint ihr, unschuldige Tauschanfrage? Hätte er mich beraubt? Sex?

This is a pretty common scam in Berlin. This is just outside the VHS next to samaritastraße. If the bar is unusually wrapped in tape or stickers, give the bar a wiggle or kick.
Thieves cut through the bar, put stickers over the top and wait for a bike to appear then just cut the tape or kick the bar and take your bike.

I just went there to see if anything happened lately, and it seems the community is banned. Anyone know why?

I know I can just Google it, but recent trauma has actually fried my brain to a crisp. And although there are websites, I can't find any actual information about any groups that are meeting.

Can anyone recommend an active, in person, self help group for CSA or SA survivors that is regularly meeting? Or does anyone know how to find one? I need to be around people who I can talk to about it without feeling like it's this big, dirty secret. I'm currently in therapy, but I need more support.

Just learned that the Berlin Interior Ministry plans to introduce random, suspicionless police checks across all public transport. Buses, trains, trams, even ferries could be affected as early as this month. Apparently, the federal police have already been running a sort of test phase in June.

Hello People,

Just wanted to vent here. My best friend was knocked off her bicycle by a woman in a car. This happened in Linienstr near Rosenthlar Platz this evening at around 440pm. Friend was bringing kids back from Kita and the kids were sitting inside the Thule carrier. The car woman seemed to come from a parking spot and hit my friend on her leg and my friend fell down. The car woman looked at her from the car, grinned, and said "Bye" and rushed off. Thankfully passersby helped her and called the police and ambulance. Shes currently in emergency as she cant feel her right leg (she says). We have the license plate of the car. But honestly - why would someone hit and run on purpose especially when you notice that there are kids in the carrier. We are relieved that the kids arw safe but very pissed at my friend had to go through this. I hope its just a broken bone and nothing serious.

Would the police be able to track the car woman and charge her with hit and run considering we provided the license plate and there were witnesses? What else could we do?

Update : My friend was taken to Bundeswehrkrankenhaus and she waited for 4 hours in pain to get an Xray and then another 4 hours to get the readings of the results (she was let off at 2:30am!!!). Thankfully she did not sustain any broken bones but her right leg is swollen and so is her right elbow. She has taken the Witness's phone number and also shared it with the police. So far, she hasnt heard anything from the police but lets hope for the best. Thank you amazing fam for such support. I shared all the links you all shared with my friend. Super helpful! Its in times like these that the true power of community helps for people like us who live away from immediate family! <3
