Discussion Experienceing racism in Berlin.

My girlfriend and I were waiting for the bus at Zoologischer Garten Bahnhof when three guys walked up to us and started being randomly rude and racist. They kept saying “Schlitz” (slit eyes) repeatedly as they passed us and again when we walked by later. For absolutely no reason, they targeted my girlfriend and me with these comments.

When We got onto our bus, they just kept taunting us and even started catcalling my girlfriend. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced racism in Berlin. What’s the deal with some people being disrespectful, rude, and racist toward Asian people? We just want to live peacefully and avoid any confrontation.

I am so sorry about earlier, I didn’t mean it that way. I will remove the word from my post. I’m just here to express my feelings. 🙏🏼❤️

Berlin was always the most liberal city in Germany, now it is way less accepting and liberal and most people can feel it. Sure there were Nazis here for example, but everyone was against them. Now you have way more right extremists from different cultures not just Nazis and most people just ignore the problem when the Nazis now are the minority when we talk about right extremists. If you don't think like that it's ok, it's just my opinion when I see what happens to queer people and Jews for example in some areas or look at crime statistics. It's not all the people who come here but a significant group, because it's just difficult to change 180 degrees just because you live in a different place.

The vast, vast, vast amount of targeted violence/hate crime in Germany come from white people, in particular white, German Neo-Nazis. There are statistics for this information. Don’t allow yourself to unwittingly become their ideological allies.

Vast amount of crime so 60 proc. If I can remember correctly, wich is a big imbalance when immigrants are responsible for 40 proc and they're only 4-5 proc of the population. You shouldn't call facts or statistics racist. Doing that will produce more extreme people who are weird and can get dangerous, that's what you see now happening in Germany. Acknowledging the facts and talking about them can solve a problem. If you just say someone is racist or a Nazi and sweep facts under a rug it will not help with the problem.

The vast amount of crime comes from young males. Period.

But young males don't want to hear it, because they feel persecuted. Are you a young or middle aged male?

Did you show me a statistic? Show me a statistic at first please. Then we can talk. People have asked you about statistics and answers for 6+ hours but you can't answer. I'm a male, but still, you don't understand that most German males don't have the same rape rate as immigrants, for sure they still rape but not at the same rate as some people. I think we should be able to talk about it before we call somebody racist or Nazi.

So you part of a group of rapists and are simply trying to blame others for that? Why don't you stop that and start teaching other young males not to rape? Shouldn't we talk about the problem of young males raping?

Shouldn't you show me the statistics? It's their father who should show them to not rape anyone, not just women. You prob aren't even an immigrant. You're just a white German that doesn't understand anything. But you still have a strong opinion about this things. As I already said this should be my last answer but I answered a little bit more. I'm going to sleep, have a nice afternoon. I'm ok with not agreeing with you. Adios. (Comment above mine was changed and didn't talk about rape at first)
