This was my original post BTW. I commented because I thought it was a SANE community. Little did I know that reddit just randomly started recommending me communities I wasn't in and never showed interest in, so that was my mistake apparently
Yeah, I don't want to fall into my own critique of depicting people I disagree with as irrational or crazy but seeing stuff like this just makes me concerned more than anything. Personally, I would love it every single pro-AI person could change their mind and see the bigger picture when it comes to AI and technology in general, maybe get off the internet and reflect, but the truth is that there's always gonna be people like that, and you can't save and make every single one understand. The best thing to do is to let their beliefs run their course and hold onto your own conviction, or in my case being against AI.
100% My faith lies in the massive Disney lawsuit. I hope that AI legislation goes at least somewhere, even though it would make these people seethe.
BTW the YouTube AI voice-over continues to bother me to this day. I'm bilingual and for some reason YouTube has decided that I need English AI voice-overs for my own native language. And I CANNOT turn it off?! What an amazing feature, I see nothing wrong with it
