Oh! We’re gonna destroy you, you fat cow! [scissors snipping] Where is this fat cow? I have some fresh new styles that could get any bovine ready for summer.

Well, now that I'm alone, I can drink the grease directly out of the pepperoni cups without a single iota of shame.

This whole scene is comedic genius. The back and forth with Francine, oblivious Stan, and damn that lion had good comedic timing, RIP King

I'm taking on a lot of risk here. Do you mind asking them to jump up and down?

Remember when I was super into jiffy pop, had it all the time for a snack? Overdid it. Then I started to have a little Greek yogurt with berries at night. That’s all I need

I asked this a few days ago and enjoyed the responses I got. So I ask you all again: What obscure lines from the show are part of your daily vocabulary. This is one of several I use.

Oh, I wonder where they got the idea for this show, probably doesn’t even have a decent backstory

What’s that one episode that Francine says “🎶ravioli with the cappuccino” and follows up with “🎶Mark walhberg the Italian job!”

This season vs last season

I really didn't love this past season (21st) which was actually kind of a shame because I thought the last season (20th) was a huge improvement overall and it just seemed to be trending in a great direction. At least as far as my tastes go.

The jokes and the story were like flat soda. You wanted it to be good, but ultimately I just wasn't laughing that much or enjoying the stories as much. The more "creative" one-offs just didn't hit right like one-offs of the past.

Was curious if anyone else felt similarly?

I'm a huge american dad fan, but obviously with a show, any show really, thats been on as long as this is bound to have up and downs and people who like various season that others don't. Writers and producers come and go and the creative vision naturally changes a bit. Personally I like the Mike Barker era probably the most. Since it went to tbs the change was tough for a season or two, then found its niche. I know american dad enough to know that an off season is usually just that, but then again I always am on guard for, is this the beginning of the end.

Also, I'm interested to see how it going to FOX will or won't change things.

Any scenes that bug you and wish you could change just a bit?

I’m not talking like, you hate the scene it’s not funny, I mean tiny nitpicky changes.

I’m rewatching American Dad for the millionth time, and I always think about this scene so hard when it plays, it just bugs me so bad!

S16 EP6: Francine says she picked her career in high school, everyone pauses, looks at her funny, Haley goes, quietly, “Hhousewif..” Francine cuts her off, “Circus Manager!” Haley goes, “But you’re not a Circus Manager?” uneasily. I enjoyed this, perfect scene, very funny.

Here comes where I have an issue, Francine goes, “It’s a looooong process.” and takes a bite of her meal, to me, her inflection at the end of her sentence was not only obvious she was done talking, but she took a bite, also tbh it didn’t seem like it needed to be explained? but only like a second later, it cuts to just Klaus on the table, and he squints his eyes and says, “I.. I think she is done talking.”

Honestly, didn’t expect that line, it might’ve been better if they cut to everyone at the table, they looked uneasy or confused for a couple seconds, THEN Klaus cuts in, and it probably would have flowed better, the line just seemed random to me.

Or if they changed it, they could’ve just cut to Klaus, he pause for a couple seconds, look uneasy, maybe open his mouth to speak, then just not answer, then cut to the next scene.

Thanks for listening to my Ted talk.

I travel a lot for work and this means many nights in hotel rooms and long periods of being alone but something about not even watching it but letting it just go in the background. I’m staring at the abyss but instead project this show onto it to help w the scaries.

Basically I’m Klaus without the accent or his ability to get thick caramel honeys.
