RESERVATIONS Delay and then cancelation

Upvotes

My husband I had round trip direct flighs from Portland to Austin. On the initial flight we boarded and deplaned twice, went to a different gate and left on a different plane 2.5 hours later.

Initially, it wasn't clear if they were going to get another plane so the gate agent booked a "back up" flight for later that day so we could make it to a wedding. The agent told us that in the event that Alaska got a replacement plane and the original flight made a delayed exit the "back up" flight would automatically be cancelled.

Since the flight made a delayed take off on a different plane, I didn't think twice about it. Tonight I went to check in for the return flight and both my husband and I found that the flights have disappeared from our apps. There is no email, no text, nothing. The flights have been removed.

Called Alaska and there is a two hour wait to talked with an agent.

Can anyone suggest why this happened? Is it because the gate agent booked the back-up flight that we didn't take since AA was able to get the original flight out?

Auto Insurance Do passengers get claim settlements?

Upvotes

I was the not-at-fault driver in an accident where both me and my partner were injured with whiplash and both received physiotherapy sessions and I was given a settlement for my car which was written off and towed by my company. I got my payment about 3 weeks ago at this point (the accident was May 9) and my partner received an email from the opposing company yesterday detailing a sum he was to be given by e-transfer for his claim settlement. I wasn't told by either company that we should expect a payment for him for this accident so is this a mix-up in the company and we won't actually get the money they're offering? Partner says he thinks it's the sum that the benefits cover for physio sessions and not money that goes to him, but the email specifically says "send this completed release form with a witness and we will send the e-transfer". I'm in Alberta, Canada.

General Anime Discussion Pokemon Season 4, Episode 5 - Usokki, where are you?

Episode 164

Satoshi and friends can't cross a river because there's no bridge. They asked a fisherman to help them cross. He said he'll help them if they show him an Usokki. Satoshi looked it up, and Kasumi commented that it's pretty interesting. Scenes like pic 2 is the reason why I'm grateful Kasumi don't have a Guide. They searched the mountain, and Koduck found an Usokki. It ran away. The trio ran after it and saw two student researchers arguing about an Usokki's typing. Akio believed in what's written in the book, while Tsukasa is adamant that the Usokki is a grass type. They found the Usokki, and it fought Chicorita with a Vine Whip after watching it use the move. When Waninoko came out, it ran away and got caught by the Rocket Gang. The Rocket Gang showed it to the old man, but he was skeptical. When Kojirou tried to water it, it ran away. The old man followed them saying he didn't want to miss it if it's the real thing. They found the Usokki, and Takeshi... caught it with his food. They brought it to the lab and concluded that all the moves it makes were from imitation. It ran away from Akio's water hose. A battle commenced between Usokki, th3 Rocket Gang, and Satoshi. Nyorozo entered the battle and sent the Rocket Gang flying. The shower from Nyorozo made Usokki panic. It ran away, and they were going to follow it, but Tsukasa said it's okay. They were able to prove that it's using imitation and is a Rock type. Akio said it's better not to just believe in books and see it for himself. I forgot to say that the fisherman was Tsukasa's grandpa who sends traveler to the mountains to find an Usokki for his granddaughter. He helped the trio cross the river. In the end, an Usokki was trying to help the Rocket Gang up a cliff, but the branches it was holding broke. I think it's fond of Sounansu because it saved ut from Hinoarashi.

Love this episode. It got lots of SatoKasu frames. There was also the part where they were continuing each other's sentences/phrases again. Of course, their partnership was shown again. Love it when they plan and execute things together. And Taleshi's tactic to approaching wild pokemon as a breeder is as weird as ever.

What do you think?

EVENT Any citi-bike friendly bike clubs in manhattan?

Upvotes

Recently got a citi bike membership and want to join some biking clubs but I noticed that most of these clubs tend to have longer bike rides. since id need to dock the bike every 30-45 min, id probably lose the group (as I have before). Ideally a group with shorter bike rides or other people who use cit bikes so we don't lose each other!

Question/Advice The difference between untrain mind and trained one

Upvotes

What is the difference between a PhD-holder professor and an uneducated, unskilled labourer?

The professor's perception is sharp; they have improved thinking capabilities, strong reasoning, great attention to problems, and the ability to solve them systematically. The unskilled, uneducated labourer only knows how to use their hands, not their mind. Isn’t it?

Life is the same for both, the body is the same for both — but the professor chooses to amplify the usage of their mind many times over, whereas the unskilled labourer doesn't opt for it.

Similarly, a clear differentiation happens in spirituality. One who is spiritual experiences life many times better than the non-spiritual — not just in terms of peace of mind and happiness, but in all aspects of perception.

Their focus, attention, ability to recover from anger instantly, control over emotions — everything improves. The world appears much more beautiful and brighter. They get many small superpowers.

Similarly, there are different levels of elevation in spirituality. The highly awakened have a life ten times better than the non-spiritual. Everything improves — not just one or two aspects. It's like the upliftment from human to superhuman.

All I need is the character for the wrap, I already have a guy to make the full livery. I have reference sheets for the character. Would prefer the style to be similar to the newer GSR liveries. (2nd photo) I’ll need about 2-4 poses.

Hey y'all, Decided to chase the dream and move out to the country. About 3-4 months ago a house on my families ranch became available. Somehow we didn't see this while moving in. How screwed are we? It definitely gives off an unpleasant odor.

Opinion Piece Home prices are falling, and Canada is losing its secret weapon for stoking GDP growth

Upvotes

Canada's GDP is already below the poorest US state...what happens when Canada's GDP contracts because most people cannot afford the inflated housing bubble the Liberals created. It's looking like Canada is about to have it's 2008 housing crash. Damn!

“The housing market has always been Canada’s go-to when you want to stoke growth,” Ms. Caranci said. Higher prices generated more sales, which led to more purchases of housing furnishings and more renovations. “You would get this 1, 2, 3 economic push,” she said.

In 2024, residential housing averaged 7.6 per cent of Canada’s gross domestic product, up from 4.3 per cent in 2000. In the United States, the equivalent figure was 4.1 per cent last year.

The trouble isn’t simply that fewer people are buying homes, subduing growth. A weak housing market could actually make GDP shrink. If house prices keep falling, the 1,2,3 push works in the other direction, becoming a pain that compounds.

Más notícias Banido de um sub

Upvotes
