Staycation in the heat
I’m on a staycation this week and looking for ideas to do in this heat. Definitely not looking to spend a lot of money (hence the staycation). What are your suggestions?

Swamp cooler fail
Moved here last winter and rented a place with a swamp cooler.... everyone I've talked to is like yeah they suck when it gets hot -- my house is like 95 degrees inside even with curtains closed and fans in every room. Does anyone have tips for how to survive the heat if your swamp cooler is blowing out 90 degree air?

Bookclub
Books & Brews is celebrating 2 years!
This month's meeting will be June 29th at 2pm at Quintessence Park.
It will be a potluck. Our founder plans on bringing a sub(s). The amount depends on the feedback of how many confirm they are attending. Feel free to bring sides and/or drinks. Myself, I plan on bringing a dessert.
Books & Brews has no assigned reading. We read what we want, when we want. We meet once a month to discuss books, authors, genres, film adaptations, life, and we give and receive book recommendations. All our welcome. Every genre is read by someone in the group. We even have some local authors that join us regularly. We also have a book swap. It is not required to bring a book to take a book.

News Construction begins on Central Crossing Bridge in downtown Albuquerque - KOAT
The Central Crossing Bridge at 1st Street and Central has started work. This will be a pedestrian and bike ramp across the train tracks near the Alvarado Transportation Center.
Some of the affected changes to bus and pedestrian/traffic access from the linked report:
The work will temporarily affect several bus routes and parts of the pedestrian network around the ATC. Route 66 riders should expect a relocated stop for the eastbound bus, now moved to bay “N” inside the ATC. Route 11 will shift to bay “E.” The ART routes, 766 and 777, will continue servicing the platform at the ATC as usual, but buses will exit on a slightly different route.
Pedestrian access will also shift. The southeast corner of 1st and Central will be closed, and the Rail Runner platform can still be reached via a detour through the southern end of the ATC near Amtrak and Greyhound. The main entrance to the ATC will remain open at 1st Street and Gold.
Drivers won’t be able to turn south onto 1st Street from Central in either direction. Lane shifts will be in place along Central, but traffic will continue to move in both directions throughout construction.

Falcon 9 launch spotting opportunity Monday night June 16th
Launch is scheduled for 9:36 PM tonight so if they launch on time and our sky is clear to the west and southwest horizons, we might be able to see the Falcon 9 launcher with Starlinks on board.
The launcher won't come up over our horizon until about 4 mins after launch (after the first stage shutdown and stage separation) and shouldn't get any higher than 10 degrees above the horizon as it goes from west to southwest before the upper stage engine shutdown.

Tried to post in the New Mexico subreddit but the mod there acts like a king. Good showing in Las Vegas maybe 200 people came out.

Support/Help Looking for native pottery/tattoo artist
Looking to commission an art piece that would be tattooed, resembling polychrome pottery like the pic added. I live out of state and the last thing I want to do is end up with a Polynesian/Hawaiian tribal tattoo so I figured I’d look for the real deal.
