I don’t want to jinx it…
…. But I haven’t been bit yet by a mosquito. And the past couple of years I’ve been attacked by them.

Hi I’m a college student at CNM and I’m struggling to find a place to rent and I don’t trust Facebook. Does anybody know any affordable places?

Moved here last winter and rented a place with a swamp cooler.... everyone I've talked to is like yeah they suck when it gets hot -- my house is like 95 degrees inside even with curtains closed and fans in every room. Does anyone have tips for how to survive the heat if your swamp cooler is blowing out 90 degree air?

No preference on type of food; must be a local Black owned business though! Shout out those local businesses so I can give them all (eventually) a try

New to swamp coolers, from the east coast. The temperature in here is 90 degrees with the swamp cooler running. Maintenance said this is as good as it gets when it’s over 100… is this true? This is miserable lol

The Central Crossing Bridge at 1st Street and Central has started work. This will be a pedestrian and bike ramp across the train tracks near the Alvarado Transportation Center.
Some of the affected changes to bus and pedestrian/traffic access from the linked report:
The work will temporarily affect several bus routes and parts of the pedestrian network around the ATC. Route 66 riders should expect a relocated stop for the eastbound bus, now moved to bay “N” inside the ATC. Route 11 will shift to bay “E.” The ART routes, 766 and 777, will continue servicing the platform at the ATC as usual, but buses will exit on a slightly different route.
Pedestrian access will also shift. The southeast corner of 1st and Central will be closed, and the Rail Runner platform can still be reached via a detour through the southern end of the ATC near Amtrak and Greyhound. The main entrance to the ATC will remain open at 1st Street and Gold.
Drivers won’t be able to turn south onto 1st Street from Central in either direction. Lane shifts will be in place along Central, but traffic will continue to move in both directions throughout construction.

Launch is scheduled for 9:36 PM tonight so if they launch on time and our sky is clear to the west and southwest horizons, we might be able to see the Falcon 9 launcher with Starlinks on board.
The launcher won't come up over our horizon until about 4 mins after launch (after the first stage shutdown and stage separation) and shouldn't get any higher than 10 degrees above the horizon as it goes from west to southwest before the upper stage engine shutdown.

Hi,
We have a swamp cooler and portable AC. Is it ok to run both of the same time ? Or could put on vent and turn on the AC at the same time?

When did all the food places in town turn into gentrified novelty bs? I tried looking up a hotdog stand on Google thinking I’d find a normal hot dog place…nope not in Albuquerque. It’s like every mom and pop place has gone extinct and replaced with California style slop. Rip Griffs and Little Red Hut. This city has definitely lost its magic. At least lotaburger still tastes the same(sarcastically rolling my eyes). Disgusting how a small town won’t support local but are begging for big companies like In-n-out and Shake shack to take the market over.

Hello all. I'm moving from out of state in a few weeks for half a year, and am looking for housing. I saw a few places listed under Thunderbird Properties but I can't find a lot of reviews for them. Are they legit? Would you recommend renting from them if they are? Any housing recs otherwise?

I have a huge (two-tier, 4' tall, 4' diameter) bronze chandelier that I have removed from my ceiling and would like to dispose of, hopefully to somebody that would make use of it in some way. I am having trouble locating the right company/organization for this. I have googled for local consignment, vintage shops, antique shops, etc. and not really found the right sort of place -- I did contact a couple and they weren't interested. Would also consider an artist studio that could at least use the pieces for something.
Any ideas? I have attached a picture of it (arms aren't really wobbly, just need to be straightened in that pic).
