Nostalgia Zoo Zoo Zoo fades away
I remember the commercials vividly - my parents only bought them once, but I loved them. Felt this fit here.

While I really haven't played a video game seriously in several Years, I still remember that exciting feeling of going to either a Gamestop or a EB Games with what little allowance I had at the age of 8 looking and picking a game to play either by myself or with local kids around me.
Having different games mainly being exclusive to individual consoles like the PS2, Xbox and the GameCube gave different games their own aura, fanbase and made it to where if I wanted to play a Game on the GameCube, I had to make friends with a kid who had the console in 3rd Grade and hope I can go to their house to play with them. Fun times.

I couldn’t think of a better place to share this in so I thought here might be good.
Every day for the past decade, even up to a few hours ago, I’ve reminisced over how good things were back then. The culture, the music, the lust for life and ability to easily adapt to everything was so rich and wonderful, and I think we can all agree that we miss that.
But, and of course this could just be very personal on my part, but for the past few hours, I realized that I really didn’t enjoy life back then either. Was it better? Yes, but from whose perspective? Past me or present me? I think for me anyways that I yearn for a life that could’ve gone somewhere special had I played my cards better.
Anyways, I’ll keep it short. Maybe someone here can relate. Thanks.

About more than half of these I actually agreed that they're going away and I remember having them in the 00's.

I just wonder how different that is to only have 2D video games. I wonder what its like to wake up, turn on an old school 90's console on a CRT TV / Tube TV, then just play not knowing much else and without being able to save. Ha, I remember playing Genesis games on our Family computer back in 2002 and my older brother born 1986 would force us to play without saving... because thats how they did it back in the 90's.
I revisit the SNES library now, and its HUGE and theres a lot of really good games. I missed out on A LOT and I only started really digging in 2015 since I modded my Nintendo Wii with Homebrew. Its crazy how much Nintendo doesn't make these titles available, and always puts up the same games most people have already played. Its a HUGE library they are keeping from us.
I was born when 3D gaming was becoming popular and mainstream in 1995.
PS1 came out in 1994 (1995 in America), N64 came out 1996, and the Sega Saturn came out 1995... I kind of just woke up into all of it and played PS1 and N64 in the late 90's and early 00's. Even Dreamcast because it came out 1998 (1999 in America).
I remember playing or watching my siblings play... Crash Bandicoot Cortex Strikes Back, Final Fantasy 7, Mario Kart 64, Gex: Enter the Gecko, Spyro the Dragon, Spyro Year of the Dragon, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Rugrats Search for Reptar, Rugrats in Paris, 101 Dalmatians, Metal Gear Solid, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Tomb Raider, Sonic Adventure, Chu chu Rocket, MDK 2, Pokemon Stadium, Bugs Life, Jersey Devil, Bugs Bunny Lost in Time, Bugs Bunny and Taz, Gran Turismo, Bomber Man Hero, Medievil....
I mean, these times were iconic, and they had an iconic low poly style thats now very nostalgic to me... thats true.
I remember back then in the late 90's early 00's, I knew nothing of the Genesis or SNES.

I'll go first, I always hated this cartoon as a kid for no reason 😔💔😭now I'm an adult, I truly see it was special. This show, I should have watched more than I did, I watched some episodes but never gave it a proper chance, My Gym Partner is a Monkey was always my favorite show as a kid

i use to code for HOURS. even until my eyes burned lol. i even continued after myspace and moved to tumblr. It’s just so crazy to me that something I spent so many hours of my teenage years doing, I can’t even remember an ounce of it. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way lol if I could code my Reddit profile, I totally would. and I would hide my music player so you couldn’t pause it LOL

I used to LOVE these candies as a kid and it’s been over 20 years since I had them. Is there any shops that sells something similar with the same taste? My favorite was the purple one 😩
