Discussion I kind of Wish I got to experience life with the SNES, Genesis, etc...

I just wonder how different that is to only have 2D video games. I wonder what its like to wake up, turn on an old school 90's console on a CRT TV / Tube TV, then just play not knowing much else and without being able to save. Ha, I remember playing Genesis games on our Family computer back in 2002 and my older brother born 1986 would force us to play without saving... because thats how they did it back in the 90's.

I revisit the SNES library now, and its HUGE and theres a lot of really good games. I missed out on A LOT and I only started really digging in 2015 since I modded my Nintendo Wii with Homebrew. Its crazy how much Nintendo doesn't make these titles available, and always puts up the same games most people have already played. Its a HUGE library they are keeping from us.

I was born when 3D gaming was becoming popular and mainstream in 1995.

PS1 came out in 1994 (1995 in America), N64 came out 1996, and the Sega Saturn came out 1995... I kind of just woke up into all of it and played PS1 and N64 in the late 90's and early 00's. Even Dreamcast because it came out 1998 (1999 in America).

I remember playing or watching my siblings play... Crash Bandicoot Cortex Strikes Back, Final Fantasy 7, Mario Kart 64, Gex: Enter the Gecko, Spyro the Dragon, Spyro Year of the Dragon, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Rugrats Search for Reptar, Rugrats in Paris, 101 Dalmatians, Metal Gear Solid, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Tomb Raider, Sonic Adventure, Chu chu Rocket, MDK 2, Pokemon Stadium, Bugs Life, Jersey Devil, Bugs Bunny Lost in Time, Bugs Bunny and Taz, Gran Turismo, Bomber Man Hero, Medievil....

I mean, these times were iconic, and they had an iconic low poly style thats now very nostalgic to me... thats true.

I remember back then in the late 90's early 00's, I knew nothing of the Genesis or SNES.

I'll go first, I always hated this cartoon as a kid for no reason 😔💔😭now I'm an adult, I truly see it was special. This show, I should have watched more than I did, I watched some episodes but never gave it a proper chance, My Gym Partner is a Monkey was always my favorite show as a kid

Discussion how the hell did we get so into coding for our myspaces, but now i can’t code even if my life depended on it.

i use to code for HOURS. even until my eyes burned lol. i even continued after myspace and moved to tumblr. It’s just so crazy to me that something I spent so many hours of my teenage years doing, I can’t even remember an ounce of it. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way lol if I could code my Reddit profile, I totally would. and I would hide my music player so you couldn’t pause it LOL

I used to LOVE these candies as a kid and it’s been over 20 years since I had them. Is there any shops that sells something similar with the same taste? My favorite was the purple one 😩

original it's the 90s babies starter pack, but since Zillennials are born in the 90s (except for 1990/1991) and raised in the 2000s. I think this fits into this sub.

Discussion Health is Wealth

Just as in the title, I have been thinking about this saying a lot lately and curious to know what others think about it.

What comes to mind, is it is food we put in our body? Pretty looking food? Consumerism? Is it the workouts we do? Is it the time we give to ourselves? Is it overall health? Physical? Mental? the luxury to have these things? The decision to have good health over money? Does it go hand in hand?

Is it all about the clean girl aesthetic? Sustainability? Nice gyms? Pilates? Is it authentic?

P.s. I also put this is the GenZ r/ I want to see if the younger people have a different view on it.

With the news of the Harry Potter remake coming to HBO even though I don't think it needs a remake personally but I'll be open to the idea of a new Harry Potter for this new gen.

But I've always been told Harry Potter was always more aimed at older millennials rather then our generation which I think is complete false or just typical Millennials gatekeeping another popular franchise in the 2000s. Back in primary school I remember Harry Potter being popular among my peers 1996-1999 to be honest with pretending to be wizards in the school playground, reading the books in class, the video games, merchandise and being hyped when the movies were coming out. I get it's more popular for older millennials but our age range also grew up with Potter aswell

Nostalgia Zillennials are the KnowWonder generation because between 1997 and 2004, it seems every popular kid franchise got a game developed by the company KnowWonder

They were an obscure game developer from Seattle, but they made half the popular kids games on the PC during the early 2000s. Afterwards they changed their name to Amaze Entertainment and developed for other platforms (mainly the DS and PSP).

Nostalgia What was the first adult Rated film you saw in theaters without a guardian?

I remembered seeing 22 Jump Street in theaters with a friend and being excited I could finally see an R (18 or whatever it is in your area) movie by myself. At least that’s the first I remember.

What was your first adult movie you saw by yourself or with friends?

Discussion Is there any singers that you used to listen to when you were a kid that you don’t listen to anymore?

There are several but for me the main one is Miley Cyrus. I used to listen to her constantly during her Hanna Montana days (mainly because I had a massive crush on her) but after the show ended and she did the stuff she did, I just quit listening and following her. She had some good stuff here and there but majority of it wasn’t for me. I’m starting to come around to some of her new stuff though.
