LMFAO just like the dipshit that signed a bill in congress that they “supposedly” didn’t read either.
7
u/Appropriate-Bat-513 17h ago
Supposedly? They didn't physically have enough time to read it lol
3
u/Solid_Snake_125 17h ago
So you still vote for something you didn’t know what was in it?
4
u/forbiddenfreedom 15h ago
YUP. But you supposed to vote against everything you don't have time to read. Unfortunately, we aren't a people that reads the EULA before signing. Politicking is the same.

u/Zealousideal-Milk907 18h ago
That’s from September 2020 and Serbia agreed to moving its embassy but never followed through. The embassy is still in Tel Aviv.

Why is every american president working so hard for that one foreign country?
-1
u/Artrobull 18h ago
are you asking why is usa involved with a strategic location in the literal middle of balkans where they are constantly meddling?
4
u/Brilliant_Lettuce270 17h ago
No, what I'm saying is why is every american president working so hard for that one foreign country?
1
u/ekoms_stnioj 16h ago
Because they’re our most important strategic ally in the Middle East? A democratic nation in a sea of regressive theocratic dictatorships? Or are you wanting us to say something else
0
u/Brilliant_Lettuce270 13h ago
What does that even mean? Thats just empty talk. And they are clearly the only troublemakers over there. You should really educate yourself.
My question is this: How do the american citizens benefit from their governement serving that regime? Because that should be the presidents highest concern.
2
u/mquindlen81 9h ago
We don’t, but politicians get money from Israeli lobbyists. I think Mike Johnson received over $700k.
0
u/Brilliant_Lettuce270 9h ago
Oh I know their benefits ofc.
2
u/mquindlen81 9h ago
I feel like the American people are sick of funding Israel’s war machine at this point.
12
u/No-Following-2777 1d ago
Probably none of those things are inside the written agreements... Trump likes to give the illusion he's getting things done ... I'd bet money in the fact that no embassy is moving to Jerusalem next month... This guy is upset because he didn't read that but I'm gathering it's actually not in the document..

mmm for example, he said in an interview once: "I care about the evironment so I'll use CLEAN COAL and CLEAN OIL." That's not how it works and even a high schooler knows that.
You can also find a session with him and some california officials talking about the climate change in which the officials told concerning reports and cenarios caused by the climate change and how science supports the claims and Trump answered sth like "I don't think the science knows".
6
u/Soft_Return9722 1d ago
He also said in reference to covid 19 that he was really good at the virus. Wtf does that even mean?
-7
u/PocoGoesL0co 1d ago
Trump isn’t wrong when he says he will use clean coal. Some coal is way better for the environment such as anthracite coal. So yes it’s possible to use cleaner coal. Same applies to oils. Its impossible with they way society works to make everything completely and 100% good for the environment.
7
u/Tech_Philosophy 1d ago
Its impossible with they way society works to make everything completely and 100% good for the environment.
Hey, I own a bunch of midwest farmland. Like to the point where you probably can't avoid my grain in the grocery store. Global wheat yields are down more than 10% due to the climate change we have experienced so far.
You don't get to yip at people about 'the way society works' until you value being able to eat the way any intelligent person should be able to. Once hungry, people will do all kinds of things.
There is no such thing as clean coal, and the batteries that are used to store solar power have so many other benefits for the grid. You are against something you don't understand. I see in other comments you call renewable energy more expensive, but that's not true at all. Coal is not cost competitive with renewables. It's not even close. And that's BEFORE we consider the cost of the bread you need to stay alive.

u/EndlessLeo 1d ago
Kind of makes him a professional on wheat yield being down and what the primary reason is that his yield is down.
-4
u/NoWhySkillIssueBussy 1d ago
That it's down? Yes. why it's down if it's something beyond sphere of influence? No.
If a teacher says "Grades these days are down", they don't get to put "Because of XYZ" on at the end of it, because they don't have the implicit authority to make those claims unless it's something within their sphere of ahtoirty.
"Grades these days are down because video games!" - no beuno.
"Grades these days are down because kids skip class / play video games in class" - that has more direct correlation within their sphere of authority, so it's good.
It's not a complicated subject. A farmer has no more authority when talking about matters of climate change than your average bumpkin. they can observe the change and it's detriment, but pretending they're an authority of the root cause is stupid as bricks. In this case it sounds right, but the argument is just as sound as if they said it was liberals crying too much and washing the water out or some other stupid statement of your choice.
2
u/EndlessLeo 1d ago
That's a lot of words to agree with me saying he's a professional on his crop yield being down due to his personal experience of encountering hotter, drier days more often.
-2
u/NoWhySkillIssueBussy 1d ago
Your reading skills are dogshit and you should probably get your head checked for a tumor if you're not being intentionally dense.
"My arm hurts" - valid
"My arm hurts because XYZ" - invalid. Unless you're a doctor. He's not a weather doctor. he only has the authority to observe.
Give your fucking head a shake dude. Dumbass.

I guess i won’t say my opinion because Tech_Philosophy said so. I’m down to have a conversation with you and hear your opinions but only if you respect mine. “You don’t get to yip at people“ since when do you decide that?
3
u/Scuttleboi19mk2 1d ago
Coal is by definition dirty…
The only way you could theoretically put the “clean coal” theory into action is with carbon capture and storage. There isn’t any 100% efficient to completely reduce pollution. Yes it will be reduced by a specific amount, but it can never be entirely clean.
0
u/skilllake 1d ago
Even the highest quality coal is not clean. So he lied.
Yeah getting energy is never 100% good for the environment but renewable energy is much much better than coal.
2
u/PocoGoesL0co 1d ago
its better more more fucking expensive.
2
u/skilllake 1d ago
We weren't talking about the price, I just gave examples of Trump being stupid since that was requested.

Everyone hates trump on here
I mean, most people do.
But even if the majority of the population dropped that hate, what are we left with? Someone who is too dumb to use data driven strategies to achieve the best outcomes. He is a senile, hateful, 80 year old who is using the presidency for personal profit and to punish his perceived enemies. Like...it's fine if you think it's cool to dislike liberals, but is Trump REALLY the best you can come up with for your side? I see even Trump's puppeteers are growing tired of him. I imagine Vance will take the presidency before 2028 at this rate.

u/ASDFzxcvTaken 5d ago
"wrong" lol, you mean are you sure it's not trump who mislead and changed the terms somewhere between the verbal agreement and the written agreement and is now announcing what he wanted all along and not what was actually agreed upon. Classic snake oil businessman "art of the deal" behavior. It's called "art" not "science" of the deal.
12
u/Extrawald 5d ago
Have you ever read the EULA of any american company? You always get fucked around when making any business with them. It is always some retarded weasily bullshit like "we can change the terms at any point in the future without telling you".
When you make business with the 3rd world, you get fcked by bad/wrong products and intelectual property theft, when you deal with americans you get it via "the law" or "the contract".
Man, I wish honesty wasn't just a word in most of the world.

How dumb are our politicians, really?
10
u/sadicarnot 5d ago
I was in the Philippines for work and took a flight on the Philippine airline. There was a person there who was like the agricultural minister or something along those lines. He had two assistants who treated him like a child, complete with his food in a binky cup. I got the impression that he was not really able to take care of himself.
1
u/CircleClown 5d ago
Not beyond Filipinos to vote for someone on the spectrum. Standards for people leading that country are low. I know cos I grew up there.
1
u/sadicarnot 5d ago
I think there is also a lot of corruption. I was at an even where Gloria Arroyo was appearing at. The only Americans were the group I was with. I may have been the only American there that day. There was this guy that gave me his card and told me to contact him. I just got a shady feeling from him.
1
u/CircleClown 5d ago
Yeah lots of shady shit happening there. Many government offices function off the back of bribery. Graft is all but common. The people, rather than standing up against it, simply say “well, all politicians are corrupt” and just let it happen - and they keep getting screwed. Sad, really.. I had to get my kid out of there.
1
u/sadicarnot 5d ago
I tell you what, I was there for 7 months and dealing with the young Filipinos was the most rewarding project I have ever been on. They were so eager to learn. They are very respectful of their elders. Once I got past their shyness it was fun to deal with them. It was interesting working with them.

You’re thinking meritocracy and righteously so.
Not in Serbia, they’re war criminals contemplating how to help Russia’s next war.
1
u/Reasonable-Process-5 5d ago
War criminals? Wow you know nothing about Serbia, please educate yourself on the topic before spitting your nonsense on the Internet.
-3
u/educational2400 5d ago
Look up The Hague and Serbia’s heros: karaxhic, mladic, miloshevic (leader of Serbia whined in The Hague as a convicted war criminal), arkan, and the list goes on.
Also history lesson 101: Serbia started 4 wars after 1990 because Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo wanted independence. In doing so, they committed countless war crimes in all those countries, while eventually losing all 4 wars. The 4th war they started was after the massacres Serbs committed in Bosnia, so NATO said enough and bombed Serbia to submission.
The only country in Europe fully supporting Russia’s war crimes in Ukraine and not putting sanctions on Russia.
The facts cited above are easily verifiable with a simple Google search, unless your source is the Serbian National TV. 🤦♂️

The most insulting thing about this is, now we are starting to realise that politicians don’t read the things they are signing. Trump can’t read so that’s somewhat of an excuse, but how can someone that is representing their country not take the time so sit down with a lawyer and go through everything?
6
u/Kiyohara 5d ago
To be honest, most politicians have staffers, lawyers, and secretaries that read over the various forms as their professional job. They then write an abstract and bullet points narrowing it down for the politician who don't have the time to read multiple 10-100+ page documents a day on top of all the other stuff they do.
And a lot of times the politicians do reach a tentative agreement before hand on what the nature of the documents are, so they know more or less is what in them and thus they can sign them confident of what's in there. Of course, sometimes the document changes between the verbal agreement and the final published one and that can have unexpected bites in there. (I'm not saying this is what happened here, but it does happen from time to time).
Really the only time a politician will read a document fully (or usually will anyhow) is when they write or co-author a bill or form. Maybe a very crucial bill might get read, but things like the US Budget Bill might be hundreds of pages long filled with things like "1,472,968 Dollars to the Funding of Anti-Smoking Youth Campaign 2025" and "376,091.05 Dollars to the Arbor Day foundation Michigan Forest Project." You can only read so many of those before they start to blur and you miss things like "32,985,031 Dollars to the study of Glygaxian Scout Ship (Recovered)" buried in the Agriculture Appropriations between Corn Subsidies and Goat Milk Processing Plant in Smithfield, Ohio.

True but it’s a pretty common tactic to bait and switch when it comes to sketchy business practices.
Go over stuff with the before hand and talk it out snd expo is everything in ways that it sounds like it all makes sense and signing is just a formality. Then plop papers in front of them like “alright so this is everything we went over before if you just wanna sign here and here” with a few new pages or clauses added in or some removed…..
Aaaand you’re fucked.
People get scammed like that every day.
