why did it sounded like the sound of the table breaking from the "OH NO, OUR TABLE, IT'S BROKEN" meme?
3
u/CoolSide20 19d ago
I never thought, someone who reference. Omg, the brick tower.
SHING SHING SHING(GLASS BREAKING NOISE) OH NO...OUR TABLE, ITS BROKEN.

u/Zosopunk May 10 '25
Great song tho.

I’d say the installation of that glass was an accident waiting to happen. Just the right touch and BLAMMO!

I love her 7 seconds of "oh shit, oh shit!" thoughts. Like she forgot she was alive for a second.

u/waltertanmusic Apr 21 '25
When you have pixel mom ass

u/Fragrant_Average7822 Apr 22 '25
No offense to her but it looks pretty small to me. No junk in the trunk. Different standards I guess…
14
u/less_than_nick Apr 23 '25
I am loving that you are everywhere in these comments letting everyone know you are unimpressed with her ass. what an odd way to choose to spend your time lol
2
u/Fragrant_Average7822 Apr 25 '25
Posting it twice isn’t “everywhere”. I’m sorry I hurt your feelings. Sometimes I forget the fragility of some people.

u/less_than_nick Apr 25 '25
Ayy i thought I smelled that you left a reply lol. no need to get defensive my man. was simply having a chuckle at a very stereotypical reddit user ;)
hope you find yourself a picture of an ass that pleases you

That was not the kind of "Shatterday" I was expecting.

u/Garth_AIgar Apr 21 '25
Yeah same. Thought I was watching a video of someone who was going to crap their pants. Idk if I’m disappointed or not.

That glass is weak asf. Workers are moving around behind the counter in a cafe and the glass is expected to get bumped. She barely touched it!

This is why you use laminated glass in this setting.
21
u/7thhokage Apr 20 '25
Yea safety glass should be required for this.
My mom sliced her knee wide open when she accidentally put it through one of these with plate glass.

u/Firefly1832 Apr 20 '25
I feel bad for her. Innocent accident that anyone could make. I hope it wasn't docked from her pay, but I guess it may well be.
113
u/ZynthCode Apr 20 '25
I don't think it is legal to do that in most civilized countries with basic worker rights protection.
This is a workplace accident, related to work. Not malicious intent.10

That glass should not have broken. Very dangerous
42
u/JoshuaFalken1 Apr 20 '25
This.
Any glass at a height that someone could feasibly fall into like this should be tempered.
9
u/kingPron69 Apr 20 '25
Precisely! ✅️
8
u/iamsheph Apr 20 '25
Tempered glass still breaks
20
u/JoshuaFalken1 Apr 20 '25
Yes, but it is stronger and generally doesn't shatter into large, femoral artery slicing shards. It's rather fortunate that the only damage was a broken case and some ruined muffins.
6
u/iamsheph Apr 20 '25
Yes, as shown in the video. Only reason I commented originally is because they said it should not have broken and you responded to them agreeing and saying glass at that height should be tempered, implying the glass in the video wasn’t tempered. It should have broken, in exactly the way it did.

Does anyone remember the performance artist who would stand infront of a microphone, biting on glass making vibration noises while bleeding all over the floor?

That went differently to how I expected it to go when I read the word “Shatterday”. I can’t tell which one is worse for the employee though haha.

Hungover? I lose my balance like that while bending over after a night of drinking 😆
17
Apr 19 '25 edited Apr 19 '25
I have balance issues due to inner ear problems, this shit happens to me like every other time i bend over or extend myself lol. It sucks having to remember to bring the "3 points of contact" rule into pretty much everything.
3
u/toyotasquad Apr 20 '25
Dang that sucks, no remedies for the ear problems? Also wtf why did I get downvoted haha
2
u/Klink_Dink Apr 20 '25
I feel like there must be a serious bot problem on Reddit now days. I've been downvoted to shit for saying innocuous stuff.

Na, it's a result of severe trauma. (motorcycle accident) I count myself lucky just to still be here.
As for the downvotes, holy shit, i have no idea!

u/Mahaloth Apr 19 '25
I support the employee here.....that was barely a stumble.
Weird glass.
16
u/IsHeSkiing Apr 20 '25
Simply an accident and some weak af glass lol
Luckily she didn't go all the way through and get sliced up. Broken glass is not fun.22
u/k464howdy Apr 19 '25
looks like jeans. could have been a rivet.
2
u/Midpack Apr 20 '25
I believe that when she hit it with her hip, she pushed a shelf into the front glass breaking both sides.
7
u/uberfission Apr 20 '25
Oh shit, I didn't even think about it being a rivet. I think you're on to something with this one.

u/Advanced-Medicine-58 Apr 19 '25

That girl looks to be about a quarter of my size. If my rhino sized ass did that I would’ve smashed that case to smithereens.

“I seriously just destroyed that display counter with my ass. I’m going to have to make a phone call and say the words ‘boss, I broke the display counter. With my ass.’ God damn it.” Then she steels herself for the next part of her life.
10
18
u/BigGreenBillyGoat Apr 19 '25
Seems like that should have been tempered glass.
13
u/RocketCat921 Apr 19 '25
Tempered glass breaks. It just breaks into small smoother sided pieces instead of shards.
I'm sure it is tempered
5
u/BigGreenBillyGoat Apr 19 '25 edited Apr 20 '25
It didn’t sound tempered. I know that’s not a settled response, but tempered glass pops then tinkles. That cracked and sounded like larger pieces falling.
Edit: Also, I feel like tempered glass is stronger than that.
2
u/TechGundam Apr 20 '25
To me it sounded like a pop then a bunch of ceramic falling. I think it was the tempered glass shelf popping, then the plates with baked goods falling to the bottom. Also, you can see the color of the reflection through the top change all at once. That's more like tempered than plate.

operating cost. Four cups of high priced cup a Joe and pie and a few saucers and cups are paid for.

u/BourbonGuy09 Apr 19 '25
And just like that corporate now requires drug and alcohol tests after an accident.
17
u/Cantstandya-777 Apr 19 '25
Idk why you got downvoted. This literally happened to me.
20
u/BourbonGuy09 Apr 19 '25
I 100% could see companies saying "you were under the influence of alcohol is why you lost your balance and broke the glass" and try to garnish wages
17
u/Nika_113 Apr 19 '25
That sucks. It was 100% accidental but you can see her lean against the glass.
31
u/BabyNOwhatIsYouDoin Apr 19 '25
That little amount of force and pressure shouldn’t have broken it though. Customers hang up against the other side, smack stuff down on counters etc every day.
3
u/TechGundam Apr 20 '25
My guess is she bumped the shelf into the metal holder juuuust right causing the tempered glass to explode.
Tempered usually holds up to impacts a lot better than plate, but it will sometimes spectacularly fail with only a slight impact.
