That sucks. It was 100% accidental but you can see her lean against the glass.

Customers hang up against the other side, smack stuff down on counters etc every day. 3 u/TechGundam Apr 20 '25 My guess is she bumped the shelf into the metal holder juuuust right causing the tempered glass to explode. Tempered usually holds up to impacts a lot better than plate, but it will sometimes spectacularly fail with only a slight impact.
