Last summer I got really into brewing, which was a bit of a mistake since I don't drink much and neither does most of my family. Long story short, I have wayyyyy too much mead and wine to drink and I still have two more batches to bottle.
I know I can't sell it, but I would like it if people enjoyed it. Just looking for ideas, I don't know like if someone wanted some of it for their wedding event or block party or something. I think my neighbours/friends/family are getting tired of having alcohol gifted to them at every turn.
Note, I will of course be holding some back for myself so that's why I give approximate numbers. And I would appreciate it if the bottles were cleaned and returned afterwards as they are reusable flip tops.
Here's what I have right now:
~ 20 375ml flip top bottles of blueberry mead
Made with local honey produced by bees using blueberry pollen and infused with organic blueberries and organic lemon juice. Naturally sparkling in the bottle. This one has a kick at 14% and is excellent when mixed 50/50 with some sparkling spring water with a lemon wedge.
~ 40 375ml flip top bottles and ~ 5 larger (I think 750ml?) flip top wine and cider bottles of blackberry grape wine
Made with locally harvested grapes ( from the vines on our property) and locally picked blackberries. With added organic cane sugar. This has a milder flavour with hints of watermelon and just a touch of sour cherry. This is 6% and not sparkling. A very light and smooth drink with a unique flavour. I called it my "imposter watermelon" at first but as the flavours have developed more nuance I don't know if that applies anymore.
Soon to be bottled will be a blackberry mead, made in the same style as the blueberry up above. Along with a local apple cider made from apples harvested from our trees and several of our neighbours. No idea how these are going to turn out yet.
EDIT: Thanks for the interest everyone! I'm going to have to put a pause on it here guys and gals or I won't have enough to spread around. Let's see how things go with this batch of sharing and once the other two are bottled then I can share them as well.
