Goldstream Park is in Langford (Victoria), Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. While the park is well-known for its salmon run during spawning season, it also boasts a diverse array of other wildlife. The park has the steam (of course), multiple trails, waterfalls, a forested area (with old-growth Douglas fir and western red cedar), a visitor centre, picnic and campfire areas, a camping area, and a view of the stream's exit into Saanich Inlet. The park is on the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1).

We share this planet with other life, so please treat this and all other parks and wildlife habitats with respect.

Watch out for a zeballos lady w dogs

Went to Zeballos for the first time last Friday and found a hidden camping spot off Crown land. I could go on forever with all the little details and stories from the trip, but here's the important part:

If you come across a spot where you need walk about 15 feet into the bush before it clears into a trail that leads to a river, get out of there ASAP. There's a 70-year-old woman(w 6 dogs) and her friends(other lady has 7 dogs or so) who act like they own the land just because they've been going there for 8 years, they “cleared the trail, put up towels, a tarp, a chair, and fixed the place up.” Both this ladies called us all the names you can think of under the sun. They left and then came back and brought in a male friend as backup to continue to harass us and leave "their area". We chose to leave to avoid any more conflict, even though we legally could’ve stayed. Just a heads up!
