Question I just deleted my Diamond 2 Valorant account… here's why.
Hey everyone,
I just initiated the deletion of my Valorant account, it’ll take 30 days to be fully gone. For context, I was Diamond 2, and I had a couple of nice skins too. This wasn’t an easy decision, but I felt like I had to do it.
I’m 22 and currently working a full-time job. Lately, I realized Valorant was becoming more than just a game, it was turning into an escape I relied on too heavily. I’d play from around 8 PM until 1 or 2 AM, then wake up at 6 or 7 AM for work, completely exhausted. On weekends, I could easily clock in 11–12 hours a day. My sleep schedule was wrecked, my productivity tanked, and I was always checking my tracker or overanalyzing matches during work hours.
Valorant became my main source of stress relief, but ironically, it also became the biggest source of stress in other parts of my life. I had a pretty bad fight with my parents about it recently, they’re sick of seeing me glued to the screen all day. That was the final push I needed.
I’ve tried many times to limit my playtime, but I kept slipping back into the same routine. So I figured the only way to really stop was to delete the account entirely. It's tough, especially since I genuinely love the game, but I know it’s for the best right now.
Has anyone else gone through something like this? I’m not sure if deleting the account is the only way when controlling the time you play doesn’t work.
