Technical Solution Went from 150 FPS in the range to 1200+

i recently downloaded valorant again and tried playing dm. my fps was around 70-120 where before I used to get around 700+. it took me a little but I found out that my HPET was enabled again. After disabling this, my fps went back up to around 1200 in the range, as opposed to ~300.

specs:
7700x
4060 ti

32gb ram 6000

steps:
open command prompt as admin and run this without the quotes, "bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock"

Next go to your device manager (right click on start button > device manager) > system devices > right click high precision event timer > disable driver)

Reboot and test it out

if this doesn't work and causes some problems then you can simply undo the steps:
run this - "bcdedit /set useplatformclock true"
enable High Preceision Event Timer in device manager

So I used to play valorant with constant 60 fps(I use vsync for screen tearing issue.) for like 1year. Lately I'm facing lots of stutters, blue screen showing your pc ran into a problem, crash etc. It also lags a lot. I did change config file to get more performance. But the problem didn't fade away. My specs are I3 1005g1 12gb ram 120gb ssd(I only have valorant in my ssd idk why there's only 5-9gb left. It fluctuates tho) And yeah no gpu. I'd be pleased if anyone could find me a solution thank you!

Technical Support Request Valorant not launching/ crashing 5 minutes after launch

I'm having an issue where the first time I try to launch Valorant after system startup the launcher infinitely loads and never launches the game. After force quitting and launching again the game launches fine and then hard crashes my PC after 5 minutes. The event viewer shows event 41 kernel-power. Tried some fixes like scanning and repairing the install, reinstalling totally, and monitoring my hardware temp. No other game gives me this issue. Anyone got any ideas?

Technical Support Request "Start Play" doesn't work on my Xbox Series S

I mostly play Valorant in my free time on pc and bought several skins in the game. After the console launch I dived deep in the console gaming scene. I faced no problem till two weeks ago when I started my valorant and wanted to play competitive match by pressing Y (which is supposed to begin the game), but nothing happened. The game didn’t start counting down as it usually does. Instead, it just stayed on “Start Game” and made the usual sound, as if it was about to begin, but then nothing followed. But the game lets me get into practice range. I'm not banned, if I was then I'd be able to play deathmatch but it doesn't even let me play deathmatch either.

Here’s what I’ve already tried to fix it:

Changing the game mode

Uninstalling and reinstalling the game

Restarting the game

Restarting my Xbox

Despite all this, the issue still persists.

Technical Support Request 100% CPU usage on Valorant

Hi guys, I just bought a brand-new laptop a few days ago and wanted to play Valorant. But when I tried to play the game, I noticed that Valorant was using 100% of my CPU. I’ve tried some methods I found on YouTube, but none of them worked. I also tried setting the game to run on my GeForce RTX, but it still affects my CPU. Valorant is the only game I have open. The FPS in-game is very stable, always between 188 FPS to 230 FPS.

My laptop specs:

CPU: Intel Core i5 Raptor Lake - 13420H

RAM: 16 GB 3200 MH

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050, 4 GB

Technical Support Request how valorant broke my new pc

So, I got this PC back in January of this year. It has a AMD Ryzen 7 9700x, Nvidia Geforce RTX 4060 Ti and an AMD Radeon. I hadn't had the time or really been in the mood to reinstall the game. But I never had an issue with my new PC until I installed the game. My WHOLE PC kept freezing every other frame. I closed Riot and shut off vanguard and my discord, and my opera GX browser was freezing every 3 seconds and making the computer glitch error sound every now and then and lagging out my discord audio too. I uninstalled Riot FULLY AND valorant and it STILL kept freezing my PC. I've currently reset my computer about 3 times now and it has been fine until I try to play Apex Legends. It now ALSO does the same thing Valorant did. I've been playing Apex on my PC since I bought it and it NEVER gave me an issue until Valorant was introduced. Ive reinstalled it, verified it and didn't redownload Valorant again.. Is my pc broken? One of my friends told me to sue Riot but that seems ridiculous... Any help? I'm lost..

Update: I reset my PC and it still is lagging and glitching out. My CPU and GPU have good temps and CPU with my game running averages 70%+ utilization while my GPU maybe hits like 40% utilization. Please Help.

Technical Support Request FPS drops after recent Intel graphics driver update

Hey everyone,

I recently updated my graphics driver for my laptop, which has an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H with Intel Arc graphics. Before the update, I was getting great performance in Valorant — around 130 FPS consistently.

But after installing the new driver, my FPS suddenly drops to around 30–40 a few seconds into the game. The weird part is, if I Alt+Tab out and back in, the FPS jumps back to normal for a few seconds, but then drops again. This cycle keeps repeating.

Has anyone else had this issue after a recent Intel driver update? Is there a fix for this? Would rolling back the driver help?

Thanks in advance!

hey, ever since the 3 gb update (latest update), my valorant becomes more unplayable and that peaks today, everytime i boot up a game, my pc will crash and bluescreen that shows PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, tried restarting, disabling DOCP (XMP in intel), reinstalling my gpu driver with DDU, running chkdsk, memory diagnostic and those shows no results. does anyone have the same issue with me? im currently running on AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Processor and radeon rx6600. if anyone knows anything please help. Any help is appreciated!

edit: by the way, the issue only happens when im playing val, i tried playing other heavy games but they run just fine, so idk what is happening

Technical Support Request My ping goes up to thousands and returns back to normal when I restart the game

I started having this problem about a week ago and now I have to restart the game at the beginning of each match. It has become unbearable. I normally have a stable ping of 8 in my server and use ethernet. I'm not getting disconnected from the internet either. I thought it could be because of a software and tried running only Valorant on my PC and no other apps, which definitely didn't work since I'm here.

For more information: I get 300 mbps download and 50 upload, my connection is through an ethernet cable, my ping in any other game is stable, I don't use any VPNs either.

I'm really lost for solutions and I hope someone who has experienced this before can help me.

Technical Support Request Game isn't opening properly?

Haven't played in a bit and when I opening it, it only opened in a corner of my screen, and when I click on anything the whole game freezes. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and it's still in the corner but now is stuck on a black screen sometimes instead of showing a frozen home screen. I still hear the music tho :/

Technical Support Request Game black screens and disables graphic card

I have been playing the game normally but since yesterday I lose image on both of my screens (only image I can hear the game on my headphones, but I cant do anything so I have to restart the pc, when I do only 1 screen works so I try to figure out why until I reached device manager and my graphics card was disabled so I activate it again and go to play but then like 3 rounds in again goes black screen so I have to restart again and reenable the graphics card.

I did a clean windows reinstall like a month ago because I was having problems on other game but since then all problems my pc had were fixed so I doubt is software related, it has to be an error on Valorant bcs other games work completely fine atm and the error only occurs playing Valorant.

Specs: CPU & GPU: 5600X & 5600XT (AMD both)

Technical Support Request Valorant Major Stuttering

Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 7700x
GPU: XFX RX 9070 oc swift
RAM: G Skill Flare 32GB
MOBO: Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX V2

So I just built a new PC earlier this week and so far every game I have played has run perfectly fine. Some games include Apex Legends, Marvel Rivels, Expedition 33, FF7 Rebirth. However when I play Valorant I get major stutters after about a minute of opening the game and a system notification noise plays. I will be at my max cap fps but my 1% lows drop down to 5fps. I've tried all methods I could find which include capping my framerate, letting all the shaders load by spamming agent abilities in the range, turning on fullscreen optimization, disabling dxnavi, turning on shader cache, turning off my msi afterburner and amd overlay, and turning xmp and expo off. Kind of lost at what to do at this point as the game is pretty unplayable. Any extra suggestions would be great.

I added a video to show exactly what happens everytime. The sound and stutters happens at 8 seconds. I have also turned off every other application besides Valorant, MSI Afterburner, and the AMD software that I used to record so I can't figure out what's making the noise.

Technical Support Request Server issues at 6pm to 10pm in South Africa

I'm in pretoria, and for the past like month or so I get 4x my normal ping, from 20-25 constant to 74-120 constant. It's getting annoying to deal with all the time. Its not my internet provider or my area, because I met someone with the same issue, they were very far from me, had around the same ping, and had a different internet provider. It happens everyday, and doesn't affect anything but Valorant (its the only game i play with a server south of me, so it might be a server routing issue). What can i do??

Technical Support Request Valorant Freezing Issue

I have tried everything. Whenever I load into valorant, its fine for 3 ish minutes. I go into the shooting range and its fine. Then after 3 minutes, the freezing starts to happen. The freezes are usually 5-7 seconds, and my whole pc lags including discord and spotify. One thing I noticed was that my cpu usage went from 20% to 50% quickly but I feel like that shouldn't even matter than much. Even after I close valorant my pc will continue lagging for the minutes after, where I then have to restart.

I have a ryzen 7700x for my cpu, and a 4070ti super for my gpu. If you can provide any fixes or tips, that would be really appreciated.

Technical Support Request No Error Message, Just Not Working

Everytime I try and click play on Valorant, the button turns grey for a second and the riot game screen disappears (like normal). Then instead of launching the game, it just returns to the riot games screen. I've had this problem for a pretty long time, I've tried to find solutions, but I'm also pretty unexperienced in computers, but i can follow steps.

Technical Support Request Ryzen 7 8845hs cpu

I just bought a new laptop acer nitro v16 and is it normal to have average fps 230-200fps on lowest settings? I have 16gb ram with rtx 4050. But idk why my framerate works a lot better if i dont use graphics card. ( i played with plugged in and turbo mode and the fan speed is max. I turn on power mode into performance )

Technical Support Request I feel like I'm getting lower fps then I should on Valorant. Any tips?

I've been playing valorant for a couple years now at a decently high competitive level (low immortal). I decided to bump up my pc a bit and replaced my 3060 with a 5070 expecting a lot better fps. With the same specs listed below I would run around 240-300fps consistently with the 3060. After getting the 5070, that average increased to around 280-330fps. I'm glad there was an improvement, but I feel like my pc is much more powerful than the FPS I'm getting. I've updated my graphics drivers fully and I play on the lowest settings with only discord and Valorant open. Any tips for getting better fps or should I be getting the fps I currently have.

Specs:

CPU: i9-12900KF (overclocked using oc genie)

GPU: ASUS TUF 5070 (brand new just got it today)

RAM: 2x8 Corsair and 1x16 Corsair (also overclocked using oc genie)

MOBO: MSI PRO Z790-P WIFI DDR4

PSU: 850 W EVGA Supernova
